it's 2020 , i should atleast get a cheap SSD as a bare minimum upgrade.

Get one and make it your boot drive. You'll never be the same after that. xD

@Tech_Dreamer @Cyberspirit Switch to a boot SSD and a boot HDD will feel REALLY slow.

Switch to a boot NVMe (like I did) and a boot HDD will make you wanna kill yourself.

@WikiForce : around $50 - 70 ish if i am to go for it realistically.

@Cyberspirit  :  yeah , ive been thinking about that mainly, "do i need that now?" is the question ive been asking.  i mean like i said in my last status, it's more like an Office like PC now, havent been playing any games or been doing anything intense to warrant or justify a superspeed HDD with my current usage, i just turn off the monitor instead of shutting down most of the time so, pretty much the up time is quick as normal since im just switching the monitor back on.

also was looking at the prices & m.2 is available in the same affordable price range i'm looking at , but that means another addon or a new mobo. which is like 4x the speeds of ssd's right? 500mb/s versus 2000mb-4000 is a staggering shift.

overall i think saving it & waiting a few months to see if i can get an upgrade on things altogether seems like a nice idea.

You know the amount of times i really wished that i could throw away my whole PC in it's entirety into a big ass garbage can after smashing & breaking everything inside. Then Sign up for a monthly pay finance deal somewhere, get the best hardware out there i can right now within a week. its too easy to get into something like that. but that would be a reckless thing to do in my position. Some dreams take a bit too long i guess.

I would say that normal day to day and office use is where SSDs really shine and not in gaming so, I think it would be a worthwhile upgrade for you.

Even tiny things like opening a browser tab or a document feels sluggish after using SSDs for so long. xD

If you do decide to get one, make sure to get at least a 250Gb one if you are only using it as a boot drive because anything under that space gets eaten up pretty quickly.

    Here are some good ones:

250 is more than enough for me right now , my current main C drive was partitioned to have just 50Gb, somewhat a few months back when i reinstalled windows . perks of not having any  AA - AAA games not installed on the system.
