  1. I hate to say it but you're wrong. It's not almost ips, it's ips. Look at the close up shots of the pixels and not only that. But this monitor is better then older ips monitor's.
  2. I've picked up the Asus PB278Q from the egg. The first one had 4 dead pixels and 1 stuck green pixel. After getting my second one. That was the new AHVA panel. It's a great monitor. And viewing angles are amazing. The Asus PB278Q 2014 is amazing and it's one of the only monitors that have 1 to 3 ms input and 5 ms response time. I'm loving the 2560 x 1440 Resolution. It's so much better then using two cheap 23" monitors. And the price is great. I got it shipped 2nd day air for $450. And after seeing the LG monitor. That I was thinking about going with. I'm happy I went with the Asus PB278Q 2014. The IPS backlight glow isn't nearly as bad as the Samsung pls panel. And the matte finish is perfect. I hate glossy but I also hate heavy matte. So it's just right for me. Anyone in the market for a good monitor that you can play CS:GO on but also have great color and viewing angles. Go for the 2014 PB278Q. You well be happy you did. And it being one of the few multi input monitors with a good response time. As I said it hard to find a monitor that will be great for photo work and gaming.
  3. I have a Gigabyte Z87X-D3H MB, i5 4670K and 8GB of Kingston HyperX Blu ram at XMP 1.3 1600 and I run my 4670k at 4.2Ghz it's a very low OC but I only need 1.128 Vcore and at 4.4Ghz I need 1.152 but since I don't need the 4.4Ghz OC I figure I will stick with 4.2Ghz for now and if I do need another 2Ghz I will go back to it. I am finally learning all the new UEFI bios stuff and since I was never a big overclocker I only new how to OC my Core2Quad. But now with all of this CPU Ring/Vring,ect,ect and so on.. I am now picking up on. It is pretty easy. I was wondering one thing though, is it ok to turn off Turbo Boost and just OC to 4.2Ghz that is what I have done. I have left all of the other Power Saving options on. I just have Turbo Boost off. What do you guy's think? Also I have been running Intel Burn (It make's my CPU the hottest out of all of the test's... With Prime I go up to about 76 top's. I just really want to know how long I need to run these burn tests every time I OC or change something? I feel that 20min's of running the test is more then enough myself but I am told overnight, ect. But I would rather have my CPU run that hot for the least amount of time. I alway's run Intel Burn first then Prime since I have seen Intel burn tests pass but prime will find an error and that is always within the first few minutes of the test. As I am writing this I am running prime as I just lowered my vcore when I brought my CPU back down to 4.2Ghz and it's been about half an hour now..
