Are there any monitors that are guranteed to have close to 100% panel uniformity? I've tried out a lot of monitors recenetly and the backlight bleed in the corners on black screen drives me crazy.

Ive narrowed it down to the asus pa279q or the dell u3014, not sure which to go with though.

Since the geniuses at nintendo didn't include a optical output, the only option for digital sound output is through hdmi to your receiver, however, I want to hook it up to my DAC that doesn't accept HDMI. Is there any sort of HDMI pass-through adapter that separates the audio out to a coax/optical?
