  1. Yeah I was considering those in the beginning. But I wanted to find a white AIO and this one has a white fan on top, which fits my theme. But if no one has any information regarding that cooler I might switch to a Kraken instead...
  2. Oh, I'll be doing light content creation and video editing as well as gaming and streaming at 4k with this build. I'm trying to keep this build under $2000
  3. So I am planning to build a rig that has a black and white theme, but I am still quite inexperienced in pc building. Also, to go with the black and white theme, I picked a AIO cooler that I haven't seen anyone anywhere use, so I was wondering if anyone has any input on the quality of the cooler. I also want to get the 1080ti when it comes out and pray that someone makes a white version of the card. But since it is not out yet, I just put a 1080 as a place holder. I found the quad channel version of the ram online for cheaper so that shouldn't be a problem either. Here is my current plan for the build PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($368.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: CRYORIG A80 128.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($123.89 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: ASRock X99 Taichi ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($211.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($114.99 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($114.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($183.99 @ B&H) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Video Card ($667.94 @ Amazon) Case: Corsair Air 540 ATX Mid Tower Case ($148.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) Total: $1935.75 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-09-26 02:13 EDT-0400 What do you guys think?
  4. I heard somewhere that if you overclock the 970 it would use aloooot more watts
  5. well technically im not going to buy it my friend had one that was used for like a week but he decided to upgrade to a higher wattage system so hes gonna give that one to me. It should be enough right? I don't wana fry my system!
  6. So I planned this build and bought all the components except the Power Supply. I was wondering if this 650W XFX can support the system if i plan to overclock the snot out of both the cpu and gpu? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/chattychad2/saved/vwv2FT Thanks guys
  7. hmmmmm ok I'll consider it, although I'll probably have to wait a little longer to get some more money... what about the psu? do I really need a 80+ gold 550w seasonic (which is a really good brand I heard) that cost like twice as much?
  8. You sure I will see a difference in gaming performance and everyday life use? people have told me to stick with AMD because its cheaper and isn't that much slower.
  9. Thanks! I heard some bad things about corsair power supplys though... so im not sure
  10. So I plan on building a $1100 ish desktop that includes a monitor and keyboard in the future. I prefer not to pass my budget. I will be using this desktop mostly for gaming and everyday tasks. I already kinda made a list so I want to know what I can improve. Will there be a bottleneck? 13. I think I'll use this desktop mainly for gaming but also a little bit of school work and I don't want to replace any of the parts anytime soon (2-3 years?) so I feel like something of this budget would last me a little longer than the $700 -$800 builds. I like to play games like COD, graphically intense MMORPGs like Blade and Soul, League of Legends, Watch Dogs (cause it comes with the GPU) etc. I'll probably attempt to overclock the cpu and gpu for the first time because I would like to squeeze out more performance. I am also thinking that even if I do upgrade if the future that I don't want to replace every part of the computer so going with more capable parts would be a good investment.
  14. I don't have a steady income... I just saved up 1200 from past allowances and other stuff so it will probably take a looooooooong time before I can save up another $80 unless I go ham and skip 2 meals a day I guess that makes this a really budget tight build but I not really?
