  1. Yeah, if you're going to also store apps...I'd say spend a little and get the 500GB Evo when it comes out. Should cost about ~300 seeing the 1TB is gunna be ~650.
  2. Dunno about OSX but my Win 7 Pro only takes up ~30GB on my 60GB SSD.
  3. I assume you won't be watercooling them?
  4. Never RMA'd with them but returning products for a refund never gave me any hassles.
  5. Not sure the performance will be that great since greens are meant for low power consumption (and will spin down etc...so you prob lose speed?) and you can only run SATA2 speeds even with a SATA3 drive. I think. :P IMO WD Blue = Boot Drive/Main Drive (or get an SSD) but I'd just get a 60-120GB SSD WD Green = Secondary/Storage/Backup Drive (since it powers down when not being used to save energy) WD Black = Performance/Gaming Drive WD VelociRaptor = Baller's Performance/Gaming Drive
  6. 120GB 840 for boot, 250GB 840 for games & apps, 1-2TB HDD for other stuff (or a 500GB-1TB SSD for games, apps, & other stuff)...but that's just what I would do. Pro costs too much for just an average user to consider it for any sort of beneficial speeds (unless you're a baller and just wanna spend). Evo is gunna have the benefits of the Pro's speed with the price of the non-Pro, larger capacities, and you get Samsung Magician (IDK if you get that already with the 840 and the Pro). Honestly if you're gunna use it now, get the 840. If you can wait a bit, wait for the Evo.
  7. I would just say no. It may be cheaper but the risks aren't worth it if the tubing isn't up to par. The 7 extra dollars you spend on Primochill is better than ruining hundreds of dollars of tech.
  8. What's the deference in the regular and perfect pixel?
  9. If you don't want to spend on a 780 then I would also suggest a 770 (which I believe is pretty much 680 performance with better cooling, power, etc)
  10. Definitely get a dedicated sound card (STX if you can afford it or get a DX) and spend the rest on a good set of cans (5xx Sennheisers can be found for about ~250) If all you're doing is using a mic for gaming then a cheap mic like the Zalman is fine but if you plan on making commentaries or other videos where voice quality matters (or if you can afford the budget) get a Snowball (with a pop filter), Yeti, or AT2020. Just my 2 cents...also which I'll be making the jump to a sound card as soon as I can afford one.
  11. Cool, I'll look into that while I see if others have suggestions. Thanks.
  12. Agreed. But I'm not a Basshead. I like everything balanced. If I want more bass, there's an equalizer for that. ^^

    iPhone 5C?

"C" stands for cheap but they won't admit it.
  14. Doesn't really matter to me unless wireless is so much more inferior in the aspect of response times for games like Battlefield 3 & 4 and League of Legends. :P
  15. I figured as much, can't be too safe. Thanks.
  16. I'm looking to upgrade my mouse from a Logitech MX-518 to something a bit bigger. DPI doesn't really matter to me since I crank it up to 1600 DPI (OMG IKR) and usually play with a 2.5 sensitivity in Counter-Strike...which I don't play anymore but that was just for reference. I also have an older version of the Logitech MX but it just wasn't comfortable as a daily driver slash gaming and I only used it for when I was working in Photoshop. I currently claw-grip my mouse which makes my ring and pinkie finger drag along the sides on the mouse pad which is kind of annoying but now that I'm in a position to be able to afford a new mouse...why not? I don't care for MMO mice with all the extra buttons nor do I care about how many colors it can light up. Any suggestions would be awesome and I don't really have anywhere to go to try out mice before purchases so I trial and returns is probably the only way I'll be able to test out new mice recommendations. Thanks in advance.
  17. So random post.... I left my tube of MX-4 in my car for like 6 months (I forgot about it obviously) but recently found it while cleaning things out. Do you guys think it's still good to use? It's gone through temp changes of ~30 to ~120 degrees Fahrenheit during night to day. I don't mind buying a new tube but I'd rather not be wasteful.
  18. Samsung 840 250GB is on sale on NCIX for about 165 before tax etc.
