  1. Set power management in Windows to high performance. It will make your clock min be 100% all the time. Just change it back to balanced when you want to be able to downclock and save power. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

    Dota 2 or lol

League of Legends is easier, but full of idiots that want to make you physically harm people through the screen. DOTA 2 has a way steeper learning curve where it's hard to get used to if you started with Leagues. I say you start with DOTA 2 and learn that. It'll be easier to jump into LoL if you ever want to deal with the terrible community. My 2 cents.
  4. I personally love my WD blue drive. Its 1tb and costs around 50 before tax and shipping..and always seem to be on sale. I also use it for my steam library and other programs while i run a ssd for my os.
  5. 1. I run an ADATA S599 SSD that I bought when SSDs first came out (so I paid like $300 for a 60GB) for my OS and I've never looked back. I also run a 1TB WD Blue drive for applications and storage. I would like to upgrade to some 840 EVOs but there are older parts that need replacing first.
  6. I understand what you're saying. I'm just also saying that when I'm actually ready to purchase the card upgrade that maybe the 780 will be more reasonably priced or something about the 9xxx cards.
  7. Thanks, I'm hoping the price for the 780 will drop a bit during the holidays and also with AMD's next card release. I'm not buying immediately so I can wait it out a bit. Will probably get one monitor first.
  8. So from this whole 2 page response, I take it that a single 780 will do fine. Thanks.
  9. Yeah I've watched that. Thanks.
  10. Sorry if this thread is repeated somewhere else but I've honestly searched here and on Google. Anyways...I've seen many posts elsewhere about tri-1440p displays and using two 780s in SLI but my plans are to only use two 1440p displays (probably going to be QNIX or XSTAR) and was wondering which single card or dual card solution would be best. I will be watercooling them and running slight overclocks so for the time being reference cards would be nice but I'll take any all suggestions. As for how I'll be using the cards and displays is as such: I'll be gaming (FFXIV, LoL, BF3 or 4, CSGO, and other random games) on one while running misc programs in the other; such as browsers, etc). My current 470 is on it's way out b/c it is a damned heater in my room and it's already hot enough as is during the summer. Also I'll be incrementally buying the two displays and GPU(s) since I'm not a baller haha. Thanks for your cooperation.
  11. 1. Thanks for the cool contest, Linus. Intel rocks for making this happen. I always choose a beef (haha).
  12. No shit you aren't going to buy a glossy monitor so you can just take a photo. I was originally asking for submissions of photos of the Korean monitors that people already have. Don't have to be a dbag and tell me to google it., I'll just go ask others else where for the help. Enough said.
  13. I know the differences... Yeah I know that... I know the differences but would like to see the physical differences, ergo me asking for some photos.
  14. For those with the Korean monitors, are they matte or glossy? And could you take a photo of them with it on and off? I'm leaning towards a perfect pixel glossy qnix but am unsure how glossy is too glossy and same with matte. Thanks.
  15. So I currently have two HDDs in my system: A SSD with windows on it and traditional HDD where I keep application installs and other files such as work files, music, movies, etc. What I'd like to know is if it's possible to clone my second HDD with apps/data onto a new larger HDD without disrupting system stability. If so..how do I go about doing so? I don't have the time currently to reformat my computer (which I will do in the coming month) but I also need to get this HDD into my system and use it. Thanks in advance. Also I'll be using my older tradtional HDD as a boot drive for another desktop...a standard format via windows should be enough to clear it and let it be used again, correct? I'm not worried about old data security since the computer it's going into will be used by an older family member. Thanks again.
  16. Don't see the back of my rig, anyways
  17. Price/Performance isn't worth it to use Blacks for OS. Sidas is gunna get a SSD anyways...I'd still go by the list I created.
  18. Like how advertisers say about movies...why watch them on small TVs? I apply the same thinking to games...why would I want to game on a smaller screen? Yes it's cool and shows that there might be a future in cloud gaming...but I'm not going to be lazier and sit on my couch vs my computer chair to game on a smaller screen, worse sound, etc.
