  1. The new speaker is pretty awesome, the amount of times I've got water into the speaker of my phone is ridiculous, so that's really nice!
  2. The new generation of Apple Watch is currently being announced. Personally, I don't think it looks too noticeably different, but it's nice that it's water resistant of up to 50m!
  3. Hi, I don't suppose I could have some advice from you guys? Back in the latter end of 2014, I picked up a Corsair Vengeance M95 alongside a Corsair Raptor K50 and Raptor HS40. Unfortunately, both the M95 and Raptor HS40 have failed (the HS40 is due to a loose cable causing one Headphone to not function and occurred after only a small amount of light use (back in about March 2015)). The M95 then failed in approximately July time and got packed away due to other responsibilities and I've only really got it out to look into it now). The issue I seem to be finding is that it just simply seems completely dead. I've tried on several different machines and absolutely no recognition of the mouse happens occurs at all. No lights show up on the mouse, and no sounds from Windows 10 play to signify that a USB Device has been plugged in. When I go into Device and Printers within the Control Panel, it doesn't appear to display (USB Input Device is always there - even if the M95 is unplugged). And, nothing seems to show up in Device Manager, either... I have Corsair's Gaming Software installed, and my Corsair K50 is working perfectly fine. After some research, I attempted to install the M95 Gaming Mouse Driver Software - and was greeted with this upon the start of the install; I have a fear that the mouse is probably completely dead, as I seem to remember that it just stopped working one morning after working perfectly previously. It may be I'll have to send it in for RMA (I will probably try and get the HS40s RMA'd, too) - as there has been one or two reports of completely failures of these mice. If you guys have any suggestions, then they'd be highly appreciated!
  4. You are able to force download 10, which had a varied success rate. I had to attempt it 6 times before it finally worked! However, I do think it's pretty much worth it making the upgrade, it's fairly nice actually!
  5. I must be honest, I do look forward to seeing the R9 390X in the flesh - I think the AMD Refresh of GPUs may help balance the playing field out in the Graphics Card Sector... Also, I see I've been talked about, what's going on?

Congrats on getting your thread featured on the…

Now the game plan is to start making YouTube Videos and become more popular than Linus. Then the Internet will be mine xD

Many thanks, I wasn't aware of this until a friend informed me this morning! Basically when you feature on the WAN Show, you've made it on the Internet ;)
  8. Indeed, you're correct by saying that. Sorry, @Dr_Curry_MONSTER, I didn't take the time to read your location! That build in particular came to around $1300 AUD, so here's one more within the budget. I've linked you to some good condition, used parts in this build to help with the bang for the buck ratio. CPU: AMD FX-8320 (3.5GHz, 8 Cores) - $199 AUD - Mwave Australis CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO - $41.80 - eBay Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P - $115 - PCCaseGear RAM: Kingston HyperX (2x4GB) (ATM: $57 AUD) OR Kingston DDR3 (1x8GB) ($78.68) Storage (SSD): Samsung 850 EVO (120GB) - $104 - Centre Com Storage (HDD): Western Digital Caviar Blue (1TB, 7200rpm) - $69 - Centre Com GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 680 (2GB GDDR5) - $250 - eBay Case: Deepcool TESSERACT - $45 - Mwave Australi PSU: Seasonic SSR-650RM (650w) - $155 - CPL Online Total: $1035 - $1057.48 Now, there are several things to take note. The first is that some of these are used items, so be careful and make sure you do your research on a seller and the product before buying. Also, on subject of the RAM, I'd suggest making a few bids on the HyperX Kit (2x4GB) up to about $60-$70 before looking elsewhere. I chose a used 680 over a R9 280X thanks to it having a slight performance advantage, too. If you need to get the price of the system down even further then consider ditching the 850 EVO and using a Mechanical Drive as a boot drive/storage drive for the upcoming future until you have the funds to buy the 850. I hope this is useful!
  9. The Hyper 212 is a great cooler for the price, I'd also recommend picking up some Arctic Silver 5 in terms of Thermal Paste for it (which is what I did, worked very well)!
  10. Due to the fairly tight $800, I decided to go down the AMD Route simply on a price perspective... CPU: AMD FX-8350 (4GHz, 8 Cores) - $169.99 - Newegg CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo - $26.98 (With $10 Mail-in Rebate) - OutletPC Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P (ATX, AM3+) - $66.98 (With Shipping) - Newegg RAM: Corsair Vengeance (8GB, 2x4GB, DDR3-1600) - $48.99 - Newegg Storage (SSD): Samsung 850 EVO (120GB) - $67.98 - OutletPC Storage (HDD): Western Digital Caviar Blue (1TB, 7200rpm) - $49.99 - Amazon GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW (4GB GDDR5) - $343.98 (With $20 Mail-in Rebate) - Newegg Case: Azza SIRIUS (ATX Mid Tower Case) - $19.99 (With $15 Mail-in Rebate) - Newegg PSU: SeaSonic S12II (520w, 80+ Bronze) - $58.99 - SuperBiiz Total: $892.89 Total (With Combo Discounts, Mail-in Rebates and Shipping): $842.87 PC Part Picker URL: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ywpgcf This is personally what I'd do for a build such as this, but feel free to make some changes if you need to! Hope this helps!
  11. I finished my last exam this morning in my Year 11 Group, and am now finished at my school. I've got plans to be hopefully going onto college to study Web & Games Design, Media and Photography - and I have to get good grades in these exams in order to go! So, I know how you feel! I wish you the best of luck in the upcoming years of education!
  12. In that case, if you have 45 Euros laying around then I strongly suggest you purchase it. It's the best Webcam I've come across for such a price!
  13. I'd agree with @RZeroX, I've got one myself and it's a great piece of kit! Probably one of the best Webcams on the market, actually. It can record at 1920x1080 using a H.264 Encoder, would certainly recommend this! Make sure you do some looking around so you can get the best price, too! It's available on Amazon.com, but for some reason not on Amazon.nl: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Webcam-Widescreen-Calling-Recording/dp/B006JH8T3S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434024159&sr=8-1&keywords=Logitech+C920&pebp=1434024346760&perid=2E17716375F34123A1FA Here's a review that Jerry (Barnacules Nerdgasm) did a few years back... EDIT: Do make sure you do some looking around, I'm sure you can find them between $50-$60... EDIT: If the C920 really does go out of budget and you can't find any within $60, then maybe consider the C615: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YW7WCY/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i5?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=0SNW6WCD7HES5BHH49Y8&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop
  14. I don't think there are any other words other than... On the bright side, at least I won't have to go out and buy Thermal Paste anymore!
  15. Do you mean iOS 9? I think Apple Music is something we'll just have to use the Free Trials to find out what it's really like. I'm fully prepared to give it a go, but it's got a lot to live up to to move me from Spotify! Also, I found this on Mashable, some of you may find a little interesting...
  16. Thanks for letting us know of these dates! Will be sure to stock up my game library!
  17. Unfortunately, I suspect this kind of thing will never be destined for the Mac Pro thanks to it's new "Trash Can" shape. If we still had the sort of Chassis of the old Mac Pro then I could easily see that being achievable, but I don't see that happening with the new Pro. I can see people more people maybe modding PowerMac G4/G5/Mac Pro Chassis and putting their own parts in, like this...
  18. Well do everyone in this thread a favor and sod off elsewhere. Thanks.
  19. It's fine, all in an enthusiast's job title! I agree, I was a little disappointed actually, but we must remember that WWDC is mainly going to be Software related for the Developers - we'll have to review how things go for the Worldwide Consumers Conference that should be going ahead in the next few months!
  20. As per several requests, and for your ease of access, the Overview and Photos from the event have been added to the OP.
  21. Really nice image, if it was converted to a 16:9 Aspect Ratio, that'd make a rather awesome Desktop Wallpaper!
  22. Or, maybe, if WWCC (Worldwide Consumers Conference) takes place this year, we shall see the replacements then!
  23. For the record, I actually had no intention of any mentions on the WAN Show - the show didn't even cross my mind until you started making such a fuss about it. I've never really watched the WAN Show and most likely will never watch it on a regular basis, because it isn't my sort of thing I enjoy to watch. Also, I think you'll find that @Victorious Secret offered to help post live coverage - which then allowed me to collect my own notes during the Keynote to be able to form the Overview, which you can find HERE. So in response to your statement; no, I'm not a "sh*t poster" who is trying to get fame, I was simply working more behind the scenes to give a good quality and detailed overview. I'm perfectly happy to post the information to those who actually appreciate it, because there are some people here who took some benefit from it. However, I will be damned for taking the time to write approx. 2,000 words of useful information just to be slated by someone like you for "not being active all the way through the keynote". For the love of god, I'm not even 16 yet, and you're expecting the quality of coverage of what Linus or Luke could achieve?!
  24. Well, I may have not been the most active person during the Keynote but if you'd take the time to view the overview I spent my time creating, then I hope this deals with your issues.
  25. Apple WWDC 2015: Overview So, we saw several new things from Apple this year's Keynote for WWDC, let's take a look at what's new... Mac OSX 10.11 'El Capitan' Apple made it known that the new version of Mac OSX would be called 'El Capitan', which confirms our suspicions that they've moved away from the big cat generation of OS names. However, we saw several nice, new features within. Some of these include: - New Swipe Commands & Tabs within the Mail App. - Pinned Sites & Tab Mute Function within Safari. - Improvements to Spotlight with new a new User Interface and features such as Natural Language Search. - Mission Control has been greatly improved, now being smoother, cleaner and better optimized. - Side-by-Side Window Management is now an integrated feature in OSX. - Many performance improvements made. - Metal for OSX. Improved rendering performance by 50% and 40% improved rendering efficiency as well as 10x performance improvements in games. There will be a Public Beta that is released in July with a free, full release in the Autumn. iOS 9 iOS 9 is more of a face lift compared to the extensive updates that both iOS 7 and iOS 8 were. One thing that many will rejoice about is the fact that the iOS 9 Download File will be only 1.3GB! Let's take a look at some of the new features... - General improvements to Siri. - Quicktype Keyboard, with a tool bar for different features/tools (eg. Cut, Copy, Paste). - Multitasking has a new UI as well as new gestures for side-by-side app viewing (iPad only). - Unknown Phone Numbers will attempt to be identified by E-Mail Contact Details. - Spotlight is heavily improved with a new User Interface and API Search. - Will automatically note in calendar any invitations you receive. - Offers most common Apps depending on which you use at certain times of day. - Battery optimizations made in iOS 9. - Large improvements to Apple CarPlay. - Variety of improvements to Maps App, with the introduction of "Transit". - New App called 'News', that allows you to personalize what stories you want to know. - Swift will now be open source. Unlike OSX 'El Capitan', we was provided a list of compatible devices for iOS 9 - these are: iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPod Touch 5th Generation. The Public Beta will be available in July, with the Full Release coming in the Autumn. Apple Pay Apple Pay was also discussed during the Keynote, although there wasn't quite as much to talk about. Still, this is an overall roundup of what's being planned: - Expansion of Apple Pay to the United Kingdom. Introduction coming in July! - The 'Passbook' App is now known as 'Wallet'. - Apple Pay will include support for Store Cars, Loyalty Cards and Rewards Cards. WatchOS WatchOS launched alongside the introduction of the Apple Watch and is set to receive its first major update. Some of the new features include: - Introduction of Native Apps for WatchOS. - Timepiece includes a variety of new watch faces (such as PhotoFace) with Complications. - Wallet will become a usable feature within WatchOS. - Siri is more advanced and works alongside your iPhone. - Your Apple Watch will remain paired with your iPhone as long as they're on the same Wifi Network. The Developer Beta will be available today (8th June 2015) with the Full Release becoming available in the Autumn. Apple Music Apple Music is probably the thing that people have been most intrigued about, here's what you need to know: - It's designed to be a 'Revolutionary Music Service'. - A 24/7 Global Radio Station called Beats1 will be available with Ex-Radio 1 Presenter, Zane Lowe. - Search & Stream Music from iTunes within the Music App. - "For You" is a personalized selection of music based on songs/artists that you listen to. - "New" allows you to discover new songs/artists as well as new Chart Music. - "Connect" allows the Artist to connect with fans, and for them to Like and Comment on the Artist's Posts. - New Mini PLayer within the Music App on iOS will show when music is playing. Apple Music shall be launching on Tuesday 30th June 2015 for Mac OSX, iOS, Microsoft Windows and Android. It will cost $9.99 per month or $14.99 for families of up to 6 people. However, Apple are providing Apple Music for FREE for the first 3 months (although we believe this offer will not be lasting too long). So, that's about all you need to know from this year's Keynote for the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2015. This year mainly was home to Software Updates and developments in Music compared to the last few years with the introduction of the Apple Watch and Mac Pro. Still, let's wait for the Apple Worldwide Consumers Conference to see what they have to offer us!
