  1. Thanks for the reply brob, I had considered a water cooling kit over a tower cooler so I wouldn't have to worry about the cooler hitting the ram but thought a tower cooler would be simpler. I'll look into the Kraken X61, any reason you suggested this over any of the cooler master watercooling kits? Any reason I should go for the 780TI over the 780? I didn't think there was that much justification on getting the TI. I was even considering the GTX 880 that's supposedly coming out soon if it's any good. But to answer your other question, the build is mostly for gaming but I need a reliable rig for working from home or various other freelance jobs I run into because nothing beats having an actual desktop when you're trying to be productive.
  2. Building or at least making an attempt at building my first rig. I'm working with a possible budget of $4,000 USD but obviously I hope it doesn't come too close to that. The primary focus of this build will be for gaming (Just to name a few in no particular order: Battlefield, Dead Island, Civilization, Star Craft, Command and Conquer, Star Citizen) however by profession I'm a Web Developer, an avid user of Adobe Premier / Sony Vegas, I dabble in Adobe After Effects, and I've gotten my feet wet in Cinema 4D. As a content creator...I really want 3 screens but as you'll see in the list below I picked out 3 really good gaming TN monitors. I definitely would like some feed back in this area. I'm not too concerned with the keyboard and mouse. I just picked out a set that appealed the most to me. Right now all I have is my MacBook Pro so I'd like an actual Windows Desktop so I can be more productive and play some games. Does this build make sense to you or is it completely overkill? Are there things you would change about it?
  3. I really loved the brushed metal finish, the balanced work / play performance, but above all the speakers with the sub. Yes, I could just use headphones but honestly I like having the option to blast sound through my laptop when I'm at home and not have to place my ear right next to the speakers to watch a movie with quite dialogue or listen to music while I clean.
