  1. Looking to make a home server with some old hardware I have. 3770K Asrock Z77 Formula 16gb ram 750 watt 80 plus gold psu I'm looking for something more low powered so my electric bill doesn't skyrocket. Would it be a better option to undervolt the 3770k or go with something like a celeron?
  2. Making a minecraft server for a group of about 8. Looking at single board units for their low power consumption. Raspberry Pi 4 looks really appealing at $35. I'm just worries it won't be powerful enough to run a server. What's a good solid single board?
  3. Yep, the fan is functioning and I do not have an overclock on the card.
  4. Set up a new computer made up of old parts I had. Everything is fine in the system except for the GPU The GPU keeps overheating whenever I try to play a game or run a benchmark. I've applied new thermal paste and even taken the whole cooling shroud apart and cleaned out the heatsink and fan. The GPU still throws itself up over the the heat threshold and crashes the system. Reference EVGA GTX 780 (Blower style) https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=3b81d7e2-830d-43cc-8fee-d15f2ab43767
  5. CPU - 3770k Motherboard - asrock z77 oc formula Just dropped in the cpu and set the CPU to default speed. No overclock. Windows task manager and CPUZ are both reporting the CPU speed as 4.4GHz. The motherboard bios reports the correct speed. Restarted the computer and set an overclock above 4.4Ghz and then below 4.4Ghz. Both caused no change to task manager or CPUZ even with Prime95 running. I'm stuck wondering what the issue is and what the solution could be.
  6. My budget is around $500 I play a lot of FPS games but I enjoy other types like build games, fighters, platforms. I would defensively say I'm not a casual gamer.
  7. Hi everyone, I need to upgrade my old 1080p monitor to something more suited for my system. I have dual 780's in sli currently and I need a monitor that can perform with them. I play a wide variety of games and do amateur video editing with Premier. A monitor that could fill both those roles would be preferred but my main target is gaming. I would like to get opinions on what kind of monitor I should go for. A fast 144hz 1080p monitor, a 2560x1440p monitor or a large scale 2560x1080 21:9 monitor.
  8. Well I'm not a big performance user on my phone. For me a Zenfone 2 would be an upgrade. A larger battery, expandable storage, that type of thing. Another Nexus 5 is possibility. I Just want to weigh my options.
  9. Hi everyone, My Nexus 5 has gotten to the point where it's beat up, running slow and doesn't hold a charge for very long. I would like suggestions for a new phone to upgrade to from my Nexus. *Unlocked *Below $300 *Better specs & performance I have my eye on the new Asus Zenfone 2 and possible the LG G3 if I can find it cheap/used. Any and all suggestions welcome!
  10. With an XSPC water cooling kit I got 3 of their 1650 speed fans. No matter what motherboard header or fan controller header I use none of the fans will spin. All my other fans will work on the motherboard headers and fan controller headers. Is there a trick for getting them going or are all three of them just dead?
  11. Yep, that is just what it is. Now I'm having trouble getting it off. It seems to have some strong adhesive.
