So apparently the #MeToo movement is now a right wing trap, according to the new York times.

Holy shit, I can't breathe.

I think metoo started to lose its trust after the 2nd or the 3rd false accusement.

What trust? Any movement that orders people to mindlessly trust the accusations of any person, group, or body without proof and due process is inherently full of shit, entirely. Or at the very least it should be treated as such.

Accusations of a crime should warrant an investigation, but proof must be a prerequisite for any prosecution of said accusations. The #MeToo movement was an attempt to create a platform for prosecution by popular opinion. Fortunately, it would seem the extremist left has underestimated the power of social media to ferret out bullshit and bring truth to light.

I really hope that this is a sign of a general trend. I hope that social media can overcome censorship by those that control the infrastructure, and in the end destroy propaganda and falsehoods. I'd really like to see what happens in China when someone gets a global wifi network up and running via satellite. I really want the likes of Elon Musk to get it up and running, then refuse to kowtow to the likes of China, N. Korea, and the UN when it comes to censorship. If my beliefs are correct, giving the Chinese and the people of N. Korea unfettered internet access should result in the toppling of their respective dictatorships, relatively quickly.

I want "communism" to die, so very, very much.
