There seriously needs to be an overhaul of websites across the globe.

No more white backgrounds with black text. Black backgrounds with white text damnit. So sick of blindingly white web pages.

White on black hurts my eyes more than black on white. And I don't even have my monitor's brightness up all that much.

There's varying amount of evidence to suggest black text on white background is better from a comfort point of view. And considering they mention people with astigmatism (which I have) have an easier time seeing black on white. Though in my case, it's more that I get eye strain from a high contrast dark theme. I prefer dark themes only if the contrast is lower, like Zenburn.

@Mira Yurizaki i was kidding, also this is true, fcking astigmatism, i had nothing one day, and suddenly appeared out of nowhere 2 years ago.
the problem with White Text on Black Bg is i can see a shadow of white text below it, but if there's another white text that that doesn't have too much spacing than it overlays. i've started to zoom in 125% on chrome ever since, can't believe how small things are if i reset it to 100.

This is what i see on Black Bg

On Black Text on White BG , i really can't notice it at all, it is there if you really go forward and concentrate on it but it wont show up at all.

but i still prefer Black theme becasue it is really really really easy on the eyes, i'll manage astigmatism over having a white screen that blasts light into my eyes period. hence

i can't really understand how can black them hurts your eyes more than white, just can't.

And I'm trying to understand how people get sick when they don't see something at 60 FPS.

And again, it's high contrast dark themes that are a problem.

@Mira Yurizaki idk about sick part,
but you know when you're playing GTA 5 and you turn around using your mouse ? just whip your mouse to the right side and now you are turned around 180 degrees, now the thing about low FPS is when you turn around the input sensitivity is the same but this time camera turns around 180 degrees but it wont stop there it will keep on turning another 180 degrees. now for you to look behind, you have to move your mouse a little slowly OR whip it to the right - short distance.
This is why playing on Low FPS drives people crazy, now add motion blur to it and it's a cocktail for horrible gaming experience. this is why i can never play LA noire as its locked to 30 FPS, i've tried to give it a chance ever since it got released, i play it for few hours and i bail, it's just horrible driving around or moving the camera in that game. now i can't imagine  how people have adapted to play 30 FPS on consoles, but once they go 60 FPS, going back to 30 would be a nightmare.

high contrast dark themes yeah, that's awful to look at. but we're not really asking for high contrast black bg's here, just dark backgrounds.

Well the original status did say:

Black backgrounds with white text damnit.

And I have no issue going down to 30 FPS. It might feel jarring if I play the same game from 60 FPS to 30 FPS at first, but I get over it. And motion blur doesn't really affect me unless it's something I'm trying to focus on.

it never said Black HIGH contrast backgrounds as well, LTT theme is using back background aswell, it's black, not high contrast... when people say i want black background it usually a normal back that youtube/LTT uses, its never 100% black of course.... hence was my meme tag.

again, motion blur a part of it? yes, but saying i can get used to 20 degrees of room temp after a while isn't really something to say lol. as i explained its how it feels when playing a 30 FPS game, i can play games at 45-50, but anything less than 40, i have to manage my mouse sensitivity a lot to deal with the negative acceleration.
