As an Mechanical Engineering College Student, aside from my desktop, I've used a laptop with an i5-4200m and it's integrated GPU is more than enough for CAD. Is it enough for simulations? No. But then again that's what the desktop is for. I really don't see a real practical use/justification for this. Not to metion the fact that that's the most unprofessional laptop I've ever seen aimed at anyone working in the engineering field. We don't want this ugly shit MSI. This isn't some dank RGB OC SUPER BRIGHT laptop for engineers.

But this seems pretty.. Like weird news. ReviewTechUSA did a video on this too and he pointed something out I thought too: I don't care how good your powergrid is, but everyone has experience a power outage at least once. so this just seems kinda sketchy

Well I plan on building a classy steampunk build that I will make a build log of once I got all the parts. It's gonna be a black and copper color scheme with some brown accents to match the noctuas. My hope is to watercool it using copper tubes. I have managed to find components that don't really have all those bright primary colors so I don't have to paint anything custom other than the case. They do exist, you just gotta look for them.

edit: Little spoiler. I am going to try to spread brown leather matching the noctua's darker brown color, across the front panel of the case kinda like vinyl wrap. The rest will probably be powder coated black.

There's multiple ways to do it. but there should be a version to download from ASUS's website that you can put on a flashdrive and then flash without an OS. Corrupted BIOS is a long shot but, it's really all you can do besides RMA'ing the mobo. YOu've done everything else already. If the drive works in your PC it has to be the mobo then.

try a differnt sata port on the motherboard, or do non of the drives work on the mb?

Edit: I think he might have broke the sata controller, but I don't know. It has to do with the mother board I would assume.

winningsince1337 got a reaction from Technous285 in FAA Drone Registration is illegal
One could easily deduce you support Bernie Sanders by your comments, but that's not the point. What I really want to know is what 'horrible crimes' could i commit with a drone? That I couldn't already commit? Remember, when people say drones, they mean quad-copters. However, you could call an RC plane or helicopter the same thing as a 'drone'.

What's a downside of it? One, the rules are only enforceable by the feds, so unless the FBI show's up, no one gives a shit. Two, I can just not register it and do whatever the hell I want anyways, or I can just scratch the sticker off with the registration info. Three, I could just put incorrect information down on the registration and they'll never figure out who I am. Four, it'd likely just be abused, such as the following example.

For example, lets say Joe is flying his quad-copter in his small suburban backyard. The wind blows and causes Joe's drone to clip a tree and it crashes in a neighbor down the street's yard. However, after hearing about the NSA and the sensationalized topics on the news about 'drones', said neighbor is delusional when it comes to drones. Not particularly the neighbors fault, just mostly misinformation from the media. However, said neighbor now thinks said drone was just hovering outside their window spying on them when it happened to crash. Thanks to a tag, Joe's getting sued and has to register as a sex offender. The claim may be bullshit, but Joe can't disprove it and a jury would side with the 'poor neighbor being spied on'. Now Joe is screwed for life.

TLDR: As an RC plane/heli enthusiast, There's nothing I could do now that I couldn't have done 5 years ago before people even heard the word drone (aka quad-copter not military predator planes). As such, a registration system is pointless.

its nice to have a variety though.  Cinebench and AIDA64 are great, but not enough by themselves.  And I dont really care for the GPU stress tests in those, especially AIDA64.  The paid version of 3d mark you can loop whatever type of test that you want, so if you only want to stress gpu or cpu or both at the same time you can, for as long as you want. as well as full settings control and like "winningsince1337" said, getting rid of the demo video is almost worth 5$ haha

And its fun to try and beat other people's scores that're using your same hardware.

True but that would be very expensive and make the expensive hobby of owning a drone even more expensive. The rules are a good idea as long as that make the public aware they can report violations and you can then get fined and have your drone confiscated. Pilot tests are just too excessive.

Take a look at the picture below. See the 2 pin - it should "fit" (with those little tabs) to the 6 pin connector to create an 8 pin connector. Plug that into the 8 pin slot on the card. It will only go one way (check to see which side the clip is on on the cable and match that to the nub on the card connector). You may have to press with some force but you should hear it "click" into place. It needs to be properly seated all the way in. Just be careful to support the card while you're pressing the cable into the connector. Do the same for the 6 pin connector into the 6 pin slot. Again, note the orientation with the clip on the cable and the nub on the card connector.

Again, you're straw manning. I never said that we shouldn't fund scientific research. NASA has been a failure for the past couple of decades, it's good that we've largely defunded it.

Good grief, every first world country everywhere spies on everyone whether they know it or not. On the bright side in the US, there's a high standard of living and excellent health care in contrast to Mexico which is largely run by cartels and people live off a 1/10th as much. And good luck getting as quality healthcare if you're sick there.

Not to bash you but, when you've visited and lived in a shit hole before, you realize how much you took everything for granted back home. I have a several thousand invested into playing video games (entirely unnecessary for living), I have a nice car, I can go to the doctor whenever I want thanks to expensive health insurance, and I go to an excellent University. However, these people walk for a week through the jungle just to see a traveling dentist and hope he can fix their tooth pain they've been having for years and they have nothing to stop the pain. And by the time they get there, their feet are raw and bleeding because they have no shoes. No country is perfect but be grateful for what you have, it's the least you can do.
