  1. Thanks for your help, much appreciated - MSI it is
  2. Cheers, that's what I was planning on using - just to clarify though, I thought removing the cooler itself would void the warranty?
  3. I know I can remove the cooler from the GPU, I just wanted to know if I could remove just the red accents, Thanks anyways. That may be what I'll do with plastidip so I don't void the warranty, may be the best plan of action! Cheers! Thanks for answering my question to a tee! Just have to decide whether I want to void the warranty or not now!
  4. Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone could help me out, I'm building a new PC at some point next week with a white colour scheme. I like the aesthetics of the MSI card but its a shame that it's black and red as obviously black and white would be my choice . It looks like the main red part on the cooler has screws that may make it removable!? Link to product page here - the first image shows the screws, if anyone has one and can confirm that I can remove the main red part of the cooler then I'll most probably buy it and spray that part white! Any help is appreciated.
  5. I know this is an old thread but I was just browsing through what I've replied too and wanted to know, DID IT WORK? lol
  6. Great achievement on the 1 Million! I actually can't remember how I stumbled across you guys, It was a review/unboxing but that's about as much I can remember! Either way, I liked your content a lot so therefore subscribed, my only YouTube subscription! lol The mix of content you have is great, it helps educate people on a variety of things which is the way it should be Thanks for the help you've provided me and others Cheers from the UK you guys!
  7. Thanks I just read the benefits etc from the article!(great article btw) The 4GB 770's seem to get quite a bit more cost wise, I'm thinking sticking to my guns and going with a 280X and then crossfiring in the build!? Thanks
  8. Thanks for the reply, I was thinking of the Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280X and then crossfire in the new build with the same card but I've read quite a lot of articles saying 2 GPU's aren't great compared to a higher end GPU which would mean I'd have to wait! Do you have any advice?:3
  9. Hi Everyone, I would like to upgrade my Radeon HD 6790 which is running 3 monitors, I've got a summer job before going to University so part of my pay is going on a new graphics card, say around £200-£250 would be ideal, I will be having a new build April next year so could crossfire/SLI with another card in the new build! Any help would be appreciated, Thanks System Specs are - i7 2600k 8gb HyperX Can't remember MoBo model HD 6790 OCZ 650W 80Plus PSU
  10. So as you can see in the photo I've taken, if you have it like that then in theory it should work. http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-MDP2DVIS-DisplayPort-Active-Adapter/dp/B004SUELLC/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1401316957&sr=8-10&keywords=active+mini+displayport+to+dvi I'm from the UK so I bought mine from a UK store, but this looks like the one I have in the photo and is an Active adapter. Seems this person had the same problem too http://www.amazon.com/review/R2WHFNTLT5LL5G/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#R2WHFNTLT5LL5G I've never had an experience with a second card so I wouldn't know. Sorry
  11. I had a similar problem with my 6790 (I know it's older but it's the same problem). I don't think you'll be able to use 4 monitors with this card, 3 is the maximum I believe. You have to have a connection to one of each of the outputs on the card, soo 1 into the HDMI, 1 to the DVI and 1 to the mini display port. 2 monitors will work in any combination but 3 monitors have to have a dedicated output. ***EDIT*** If you use a converter on your mini Display-Port then it will have to be an active converter, your PC will pick up a connection if a Passive adapter is used but wont transfer the signal from card to monitor in the 3 monitor setup. After checking what i've said, I think you'll have to use at least one mini DP to have 3 monitors. Going from card to monitor I have DVI to DVI HDMI to HDMI-DVI conversion on monitor Mini Display Port-DVI ACTIVE conversion to DVI
  12. Your external drive may be formatted as FAT32, check its properties on Windows by right clicking on the drive your transferring too and click properties. My Computer > "Drive Name" > Right Click > Properties > Check the file system label, if it's FAT 32 you're limited to around 4GB transfer each time unless you format the drive to NTFS, if you do that ensure you have a back up of all data on that drive as it may loose all data.
  13. Sweet, well thanks guys, I've been given loads of mice to look at here so i'll mark it as solved, thanks very much for all your help!
  14. I'm liking the look of the Logitech's and their build quality seems good because i've had the G510 keyboard for a while now. Would i be right to say that the G502 spec's wise is better? I wouldn't mind the wait!
