  1. I dont know if we have numbers for 2019 already? Please chare them with us.
  2. This plus the 10nm problems, plus the problems in suply chain, this year is gething ugly for Intel
  3. Just when we thougth that the storm passed way, its disturbing. Lets hope that is heasy to fix. This is more bad news for Intel ia a not so good year for them, lets hope AMD and ARM are out of this as it seems. 4. Its the price of that unusual CPU arrengment that AMD implemented in Threadripper WX series to protect their Epyc line.
  5. It seems like the green team, was able to extract some impressive improvemnets on the 32 core Threadripper. Mr. Ryan Shrout retested the 2990 WX and saw some interesting numbers. In my opinion more instances as this one will happen, but the limited bandwidth inter CCX will be always felt in aplications as games. It would be sweet if the rumours about X499 with 8 memory chanels turns to be true, it would be very nice for me for solidworks work load and CAM programing ,but i dont have much hope. source: https://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/New-GeForce-Driver-Fixes-Performance-Issue-Threadripper-2990WX-Tested
  6. Things are looking good for AMD, they are making some cash Source: https://www.overclock3d.net/news/cpu_mainboard/amd_cpu_sales_surpass_intel_cpu_sales_at_the_eu_retailer_mindfactory/1
  7. Oh sh**t Intel!!!! Well i consider Guru3D a respectable site, so if they publish that, i'm starting to be worried about this being really true. Lets hope its not the case or it will be very bad for Intel
  8. There is no way that Intel would be able to do that ,with the number o foruns and reviewers they would be busted right away. Regarding the banning of some sources like wccf, the thing is, we are responsible for our sources and posts, but if we are to start banning sources and sites, we are jeopardizing the free speech that rules over this forum, if we are to start banning sorces or sites we would open the pandora box here. I dont know if I would be able to stay in this forum. I must be able to express my opinion regardless the source i use to construct it, we can agree or desagree with a opinion or news, but we should not erase that opinion just base in it sources, we can use the post to dismiss the news but we should never forbid it. By the way if a post where we already participate is tked down by the moderator, i would apreciate that instead of completly remove the post block it for a day, and tell us the motives for the take down and past that day it can be deleted or whatever. I would apreciate that.
  9. here it is a new one to add http://hothardware.com/news/amd-ryzen-7-1700x-scores-sandra-benchmarks-taking-on-kaby-lake
  10. I just saw this at OC3D. it should shake things in cpu market https://www.overclock3d.net/news/cpu_mainboard/clock_speeds_and_pricing_have_been_leaked_for_amd_s_entire_ryzen_lineup/1
  11. And in OC3D site we have this numbers. I might be wrong be this numbers are better than the article that op post. specialy the single treaded baseline. https://www.overclock3d.net/news/cpu_mainboard/amd_ryzen_7_1700x_cpu_benchmarks_leak/1
  12. they are litle more expensive and dont have as much ram and storage options, and for that price point they are only 15.3''
  13. I need a new laptop for work. i need it to run solidworks and autocad, but i dont want to spend tons of money in a laptop witj a quadro or so in it. i've seen this msi (msi apache pro ge72 6qd-223xpt) and i want to know what you guys think of this laptop, and what other sugestions for this price range you guys can give me. on quick note, in Portugal (my country) the msi laptops dont include O.S. product url: https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GE72-6QD-Apache-Pro.html#hero-specification
  14. thats the thing! the platform cost ,a 5820K( 400 ish $) in a mid range Z170 would be awsome, Not only for gaming but for a budget rendering machine, i would buy it!!!
  15. dual core i dont know probably no. 6 core they might be able to shut down part of the cluster with firmware, and i think they will have a 6c/12t sku, and if they can make it arround the price of the mainstream i7 ( 4c/8t) will be awsomwe and force Intel to give us 6 core in the mainstream earlyer
  16. It might be, but its too much of a diference there, and that would imply that we only gana see a and full of 8 cores.
  17. they just call it another thing, their construction is modular, a way better module than buldozer but still modular, and i dont think thats a bad thing,
  18. Something is not right here, so as we know 1 zen "cluster" will have 4 cores and a 65W tdp. so how can 2 zen "clusters" ( 8 cores) only consume more 30W that one "cluster" and at same time have higher clock speed? I can only see two things apening here, the 8c/16T being 140W or a mistake in the clock speed of the 4c/8t and in reality is a 3.9ghz base clock and a 4.1/4.4 ghz turbo chip
  19. As i see the most important detail of this quarter is the debt reduction 1022 million $ its a lot. and it releases 55 millions in interest annually, and i hope they apply this money in R&D.
  20. it seems like things are getting better AMD lets hope ZEN and VEGA are good and make AMD profitable again source: http://www.overclock3d.net/news/cpu_mainboard/amd_announces_their_q3_2016_earnings/1
  21. And a 1060 to perform similar to a Fury x at 1080p yeah right!!! And the Cpu what a monster!!
  22. Well Pcper and and Guru of 3D notice the AMD performance gains with Crimson 16.9.1 Dx12 driver http://www.pcper.com/news/General-Tech/Adam-Jensen-gets-upgrade-and-so-does-your-AMD-Driver-DX12-Deus-Ex
