  1. Alright, depending on the price I'm going to go for some 32 or 3600 MHz cl16 and see if I can run it at that. Thanks guys, much appreciated
  2. This is the page for my motherboard, this is for my CPU. Are you saying I would be able to run the RAM at more than the 2666 listed on the CPU spec sheet?
  3. So I'm looking at getting more RAM, and am confused about how it will work with my CPU. Currently I have 2 sticks 2666 CL16 ram on an i5-8600 that, according to Intel's spec sheet on ark, supports up to 2666. If I upgrade to a kit of 2x 4000 CL18, for example, will it be slower since it will downclock to 2666 with CL18 timings? I won't be getting the benefit of the 4000 mhz frequency, right? I'm upgrading mainly for capacity, but figure that some sort of "future-proofing" might as well be done by buying something higher frequency.
  4. This video explains it pretty detailed: Basically the drives were fast enough h that the CPU couldn't keep up and the drives would time out while waiting for the CPU, causing intermittently slow speeds and crashes in premiere pro
  5. So how were the problems that new whonnock suffered resolved on this system? With the timing out and interrupts and polling
  6. You guys need to show benchmark results differently, or just for longer. Look at 4:18. It's a confusing mess and it's on screen for 3 seconds. It's impossible at a glance to see what's what, and which bits are important. Viewers have no chance to interpret, unless pausing the video. Plus all benchmarks look the same, there are no visual cues as to what game is being tested, whether a card is AMD or Nvidia. Having to read all the information in the slides is slow. Game-icons/thumbnails, game-specific backgrounds, and red/green colouring or an apple logo or something would help in distinguishing objects from each other
  7. What were the settings for the "Instantaneous Disk Speed" graph shown at 6:36 ?
  8. Constructive criticism: Have Luke or Diesel (or someone else) test gaming peripherals. As gamers, they can offer better comments on the points the manufacturer is making in their attempt to sell the product. In your review of the Razer Blackwidow with Razer key switches, you said you couldn't comment on how they felt while gaming because you're not a huge gamer - Why not have someone else with lots of gaming experience chime in with their thoughts? It can seem silly to watch a review of a gaming product, then have the reviewer say he's not much of a gamer, so he can't comment on those points. x-posted from my comment on YT
