  1. What a deliberately deceptive way of recounting this situation. The auctioning of a 1-of-a-kind waterblock prototype from a micro-company (against their wishes, and after bashing the product after they acknowledged that they tested it improperly) is bad enough in the full context. Their communication breakdown with Billet was crazy bad, the fact that they risked IP of a developing product to get released was absurd, and the cost-cutting of LMG was shown like crazy. But thats literally the least of their concerns now. The workplace culture and methodology of testing at LMG is now underfire, which is a real issue to real people
  2. So, I do freelance videography. I edit all of my videos off of my custom computer that sports a Xeon 1231V3, 16gb of ram, and an R9 380 with 4 gigs of VRAM. Its a modest midpower rig. However, the thing is (obviously) not portable, especially when hooked up to my 4 screens that I use to edit off of. I've been really wishing I had a more portable computer as of late, something that was lightweight and powerful. Obviously, as a Linus fan, my first idea was to go look at the Razer Blades. However, a 1080p screen, a 1060, and 16gbs of ram really doesn't fit the bill for the price of $1800. Is there any laptop that would fit my requests for my budget? This ASUS laptop looks nice. https://www.amazon.com/15-6-inch-G-SYNC-2-6GHz-GL502VM-GeForce/dp/B01KB0WKVK/ Any other suggestions?
  3. The AT2020 will suit your needs for basic recording. It sounds amazing and is only $100
  4. Yeah I have the 380 and I gotta say that I really love it. If not try to aim for 980 if you can save up.
  5. Power supplies fail? Ha, what do you know! What ones havent failed? RIP in I dont have money and the power supply hasnt failed me in 2 years and all the ones I deployed in family and friend computers havent failed hAhA kekekekek yep it doesnt make me sandwiches...
  6. I have the Corsair 750CXM, and I love it...
  7. The bottleneck wont do any damage to your CPU so I would just go for it. After all, the 380 will probably last longer than your processor, so when you have to get a new one, you have that extra performance "unlocked"
  8. I have a 380 from Gigabyte. Loving every moment of it.
  9. Dude the chromecast makes tons of sence... it allows me to stream netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and Twitch.tv right to my TV and stereo system... its great... edit: I also use the Roku Streaming Stick and it is a joy to use. However, the Amazon stick is not that great- its very clunky and has little support or marketshare
  10. I use it for gaming all the time. Unless you are doing competitive gaming (like at a pro level, and if you are gaming at a pro level why the fuck are you here asking for a $70 mouse), then It will do just fine. I play CS on it all the time and I love it
  11. Suck it up and save for a little longer, buy an MX Performance or MX Master for video editing. I love them
  12. If you like the look of the cables but you don't want to pay the price of the entire cable, try some extensions. I like the silverstone ones. http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Extension-Motherboard-Connector-PP07-MBW/dp/B00B46XJQ6 They got extensions for everything.
  13. Building your own is always a good bet. It gives the awesome experience of building a PC, and you know exactly how its put together incase there is a problem and you need to do maintenance to it.
