  1. Long story short, mobo in my rig died and there is a handful of data from the Windows 7 boot SSD that I would like to transfer to my new Kaby Lake build. What's the best way to do that? Can I just put the SSD into my new build and boot from the SSD or will that cause problems?
  2. Appreciate the effort. will a 450w psu be enough?
  3. I already own the hdd since I salvaged it from an old build, felt like a shame to let it go to waste.
  4. The mobo I picked is no doubt a bit expensive but I mainly picked it for it's front m.2 slot and heatsink to help reduce ssd throttling . Since I what my build to be as quiet as possible I would prefer a non-blower gpu which is why I thought the fans would be necessary. A 1070 would be awesome though.
  5. I would like to build a new ITX gaming rig as early as next week and would like some opinions on this build. I would like my rig to achieve the following: 1080p gaming Small form factor Quiet as possible Budget including monitor around £1300 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/cvgJd6 CPU: Intel - Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£172.50 @ Aria PC) CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-L9i 33.8 CFM CPU Cooler (£34.59 @ Ebuyer) Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX H270I GAMING Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard (£121.72 @ BT Shop) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (£110.40 @ Aria PC) Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (£114.00 @ Aria PC) Storage: Seagate - BarraCuda 2TB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For £0.00) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card (£249.99 @ Amazon UK) Case: Fractal Design - Node 202 HTPC Case (£70.99 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: Corsair - SF 450W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply (£77.98) Case Fan: be quiet! - SilentWings 3 PWM 50.5 CFM 120mm Fan (£17.59 @ Aria PC) Case Fan: be quiet! - SilentWings 3 PWM 50.5 CFM 120mm Fan (£17.59 @ Aria PC) Monitor: Asus - ROG SWIFT PG248Q 24.0" 1920x1080 180Hz Monitor (£355.14 @ Aria PC) Total: £1342.49
  6. I've not played any of Paradox's grand strategy games. I've heard that Stellaris is a good one to start with because it starts off as a 4X game and then becomes a grand strategy game.
  7. From what I can tell, Leviathans and Utopia are the only essential DLCs but who knows how much more DLC they'll add in the future. I just had a look at CK 2 and EU4, both those games have a ton of DLC and some of them have recently been released despite the base games being 5 years and 4 years old respectively.
  8. Stellaris is $12 in the Humble Monthly, is the game any good? Is it worth the price?
