Hello internet
Have pretty much decided to go all out, bite the bullet and make a pc to last as my MSI GT70 0ND laptop motherboard died after 5.5 years of loyal service. Trying to maximise the money spent onto the GPU and cut costs elsewhere with minimal performance hit.https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/307808/Gaming%20PC Its intended for edtiting 4k drone footage and gaming at maximum settings in 1440p I know the ryzen chip (Ryzen 7 1700) will bottlekneck the 1080Ti a little bit in contrast to 7700k but im willing to take that 5-10fps hit and trade it for superior performance in multi threaded operations (like premier pro).
Question 1. Does Memory really need to be "Ryzen Ready" for it to work and OC well on Ryzen? Oddly enough here in australia ryzen ready seems to be cheaper but limited in speed for the 2 x 16gb to 2400mhz... (I am buying all my stuff from PC Case Gear and i have already purchased my Noctis 450 and its in the post :D)
Question 2. Will be able to OC the memory (need 32gb to do 4k video editing) to 3000mhz or just a little bit over to 2666mhz on a ASRock AB350 Gaming K4 Motherboard and thus make up the ground? This is the kithttps://www.pccasegear.com/products/38296/g-skill-flare-x-f4-2400c15d-32gfxr-2x16gb-ryzen-ddr4
Question 3. Am I better off getting a higher rated memory 4 X 8Gb kit even though its $50AUD more expensive than a 2400mhz?

Question 4. Will my motherboard even go past the 2667mhz supported speed that its rated for on the AsRock website or do I need to go to x370 for that/ another mobo manufacturer? Is that worth the extra money?
Question 5. At 1440p does memory speed matter so much as it does at 1080p? Can i get away with lower speed memory at a higher capacity for cheaper?
