  1. This fixed it for me. Allow apps to use microphone in Windows privacy settings.
  2. I'm having this exact issue too since last night!
  3. Tried that aswell. Have you even read the thread?
  4. Yeah I've done that. It won't load the page
  5. Yeah that's what I meant by default gateway and no I don't have a VPN or proxy enabled
  6. I'm with BT (a UK ISP) and normally to connect to the router management to do port forwarding and stuff like that, I type in http://bthomehub.homeor my default gateway into the chrome address bar. However, recently I have not been able to access it. I don't know for how long this has been an issue since I haven't tried to access it in months, but chrome just says "This web page is not available" and in the details section it says the page took too long to respond. It also has my location wrong - when I go to Google Weather, it says I am located somewhere in London, when I'm pretty much on the other side of the country - this also was not an issue until recently. I have tried a full reset of my router and using a different browser, and a different PC and I am using a wired connection. I read on a forum that disconnecting the homeplugs fixed the problem for another person however after a bit of Googling I found nothing on what homeplugs are and how to disconnect them. I'd like to thank you all in advance for your responses.
  7. Recently I turned on Intel Rapid Start through MSI Smart Utilities. However, when my PC first rebooted (a step required in the installation for some reason) I got a black screen with the letters A2 in the bottom right of the screen in white. This showed up before the "Press Del for BIOS" screen. This screen stayed here for some time so I turned off the PC and turned it on again, it booted fine. The installation did not continue, and now when I open MSI Smart Utilities, under Intel Rapid Boot it says Finish but nothing happens when I click the button. Intel Rapid Start Technology Manager says Rapid Start is turned on. If I just reboot my PC it turns on fine again, however if it has been off for a long time, like when I turn it on in the morning or after I get back from school, it gets stuck on that black screen with the letters again and I have to turn it off and on again for it to work. I would like to thank anyone who helps, or even tries to help, in advance - thank you.
  8. Lately I've noticed my PC has been making a strange electrical whine noise when I play games. I can't hear it with my headphones on, but it seems pretty loud when I take them off. I don't hear it when my PC is idle and I haven't figured out from which component it's coming from, but if that helps I can do it. Thank you all in advance for your help
  9. Just got a Samsung 850 Pro SSD today and because I didn't get Windows on a disc, used the Samsung cloning program to move everything onto the SSD. I then formatted the HDD and moved pretty much everything off the SSD except Steam & its games, Origin & its games, U-play & its games, MOBO drivers, video drivers, anti-virus, Chrome, Realtek drivers, Java and all the Windows and Microsoft stuff (e.g Windows Defender, Media Player, Mircosoft Silverlight Microsoft.NET). I'm not sure exactly what I should be keeping on my SSD and what on my HDD so would it be better to keep drivers and important stuff on the SSD and will storing programs (e.g Chrome, Photoshop, Steam) on my SSD make them run noticeably faster or is it just having the OS on there that makes them run faster? This might sound like a stupid question and I don't see any reason why I should keep drivers and stuff on the SSD but thought better just to ask. Thank you in advance for your help.
  10. Ah, it's available in another color. I am right in assuming the colors are just cosmetic and not like keyboard switches for example?
  11. I don't necessarily want all four slots filled. I just want 16gb of whichever one would be best for my setup.
