  1. I agree, I would go with a 23" over a 27" at 1080p. With 27" displays, it's very noticeable and doesn't look nearly as good.
  2. Unfortunately 2560x1440 doesn't make AA unnecessary. I still notice jagged lines, it's actually driving me nuts while playing Dishonored at 1440p. Having said that, there is a huge difference between 1080p and 1440p on 27" monitors. 1080p at that size is much more blurry and playing games without AA is MUCH worse.
  3. I shortly had an H100i, but then returned it. It looked great, but for some weird reason caused horrible instability with my computer. I never figured out why though.
  4. Yeah, when I bought the first GTX 670 I looked into it. Apparently it's normal for Asus cards. :S
  5. In terms of installation, the Noctua NH-D14 gets my vote. In terms of looks, the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2....now if only the looks of the Dark Rock Pro 2 and the easy installation of the NH-D14 could be combined.... :D
  6. Here you go, the specs are in my sig. Sorry for the crappy picture quality, the only camera I have is my iPhone 4S. Unfortunately I don't have the windowed version. I'll be getting a window and will post pictures eventually, but that won't be for a couple months I'd imagine. The cabling isn't that great and I got rid of my individually sleeved cables because I don't have a window yet. But anyways, hope it gives you some idea of what your rig will look like.
  7. I like the look of it, I changed to it from my old Coolermaster HAF-XB and I love how much quieter it makes my rig. Not to mention it looks very nice as well.
  8. If you want to see what the Define R4 looks like with a Z77 Sabertooth motherboard and a Dark Rock Pro 2 cooler, let me know, I can take some quick pictures if you want.
  9. Oh this is a cool idea for a thread... Here's my GPU history to the best of my memory: Voodoo 3 2000 - PCI Radeon 8500 - AGP GeForce 2 MX 440 - AGP GeForce FX 5200 - AGP Radeon 9600 Pro - AGP BFG GeForce 6600 GT - AGP Evga 8800 GT - PCI-E Asus GTX 670 - PCI-E
  10. That's very strange, I don't have either fans installed on my Z77 sabertooth and I haven't had any temperature problems when my system was in the Coolermaster HAF-XB or the Fractal Define R4. It could be possible if your PSU is a multiple rail PSU that one of the 12V rails are getting too much load. Other than that your temperatures should be good enough for gaming, even without the fans.
  11. No problem my friend. You'll be fine then, I have a Creative Sound Blaster Zx in the top slot. The middle fan clip on the Dark Rock Pro 2 touches it, but wrapping it up in electrical tape solved that problem.
  12. Oh one more thing, my motherboard is an Asus Sabertooth z77, I don't know if all boards are the same with their CPU socket placement. That may also be a consideration.
  13. I j recently upgraded to the case and you will still be able to fit a card in the top pci slot. Just make sure to wrap up the clip on the heatsink in electric tape so you don't get a short. The clip will most likely touch a card mounted in that slot.
  14. I agree with your decision. I faced the same decision a few months ago and made the exact same choice. I went with the U2713HM and am so happy with it that I'll be adding a U2412M in the coming few months. Sorry to hear about the problems however, I haven't had any issues with my monitor as of yet.
  15. Yes! That's exactly what I am looking into, at the moment I have two of those "Dwood" brackets that fit any Asetek cooler on GTX 6xx cards, however, I don't want to risk anything at all to water cool. The unfortunate fact is that there is a possibility that something can leak, no matter how good the setup is. Due to this, I can't risk it. I just picked up a Fractal Define R4 case today and it seems to have solved the issues I have with the noisy GPU's.
