Techotic got a reaction from Doughnutnator in George Hotz managed to build a Self-Driving car within the confines of his own garage
The amazing thing is that he did this all by himself (which also holds true with all of his past exploits: iPhone, PS3). His software consists of only 2000 lines of code (as compared to hundreds of thousands in other self-driving cars), and off-the-shelf parts (Intel NUC, USB hubs, GPS sensors, Dell touchscreen monitor, etc.), all completely funded by his winnings from hacking contests (cost: $50k which includes the car). His software is also unique, as it uses "deep learning" AI technology, it learns each time you drive - which also explains why his code his so compact.

I love the all black packaging as well. What's really sweet is that both cards have an identical ASIC quality of 81.6%, which is unreal.

Techotic got a reaction from ablangc in GTX 980 Owners Club
Just order it from Amazon. I found out through CS that they supply the backplates to all of their resellers first, before they stock up the EVGA store. That's why they are usually OOS. I ordered my backplates a couple of weeks ago on Amazon (even though they had no stock), it shipped out this past Monday, and should receive them today. It looks like Amazon ships them out, as soon as the backplates trickle in from EVGA.

Techotic got a reaction from JR1409 in DDR4 Dual stick kit compatibility
Yes there may be issues.
You can get that 16GB kit now, but it will be gimped (no quad-channel). I would get the cheapest quad-channel 16GB kit now, and if you upgrade later, just sell it off and buy a quad 32 or 64GB kit when the prices drop. Definitely NOT a good idea to run separate memory kits (including matching kits), especially when it comes to DDR4.
