Clean out the fans and the heatsink.
Make sure the laptop can breath, and better yet, lift the back off the table using a stand or something else.
If there is no warranty, go ahead and apply new thermal paste if steps above do not help.
Handbrake uses all cores (and threads) perfectly fine on my 4770K. It does not utilize the GPU.
I rip all disks raw with MakeMKV and if necessarry re encode it using handbrake using the queue feature with multiple files (If files are too big)
Just finished ripping 270 disks total.

As a close up on the thread. the price difference between the ones suggested and others i could find with good reviews was very small. 10-15$. That is why i went with the dark pro 11 because it gets very good reviews and is VERY quiet.
