  1. Thats seeming to be the consensus. I guess I can hold out another few days to see if the 5600x will be better in real world testing. The only other hold out is going to be getting a good board around the 150 range or so to use, that is ATX and not micro. 10700k is just too over priced for my budget. If it were 75-100 cheaper than I'd be all for it. Also I thought the same for the ssd, just found that 970 evo on sale for 79 lol. Thats what I am going to do, I didn't realize when I started looking to upgrade my rig that 5000 series was so close to launching as I didn't really pay much attention to them the past year. Thank you everyone for your input so far, it is much appreciated. Any other input you may have based on anything else I have is welcome, looks like we will have to see how 5000 fairs in real world testing vs the 10600k for me to make a final decision on cpu/mobo though.
  2. Budget (including currency): $1000 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Mainly, games such as Rust, Watch Dogs, Warzone. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently am using: Antec twelve-hundred case Asus Z87-A ATX Motherboard Intel Core i7-4770K Processor Patriot Viper Xtreme 16GB RAM Main GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition Physics GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 DUAL SuperClocked 2GB I am running 2x 24 in monitors, with a 3rd display to a 32in TV when needed, but not always used, so ability for up to 3 monitors is a plus. Also do not need pereferals, I already have my keyboard and mouse situation set. _____________________________ Here is what I have so far, not really wanting to upgrade the GPU at this time as I am not sure its worth it without going to an RTX 2080 or higher(thoughts?) So I am fine keeping them for the time being, especiallywith their crazy high prices currently. Case: NZXT H510 Mobo: Gigabyte z490 UD CPU: Intel Core i5-10600k AIO: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 3600mhz 32gb(2x16gb) PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA M.2: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer to stay team blue unless cost would be same or lower for better performance. Also curious on whether it would be good enough keeping the 1070 for a while with the 10600k, or would there be too much of a bottleneck on the card. I am headed off to sleep as I do have work in a few hours, but I will look and make replies first thing, also please let me know if you have any questions for me and I will be happy to answer. Thanks all and have a great night!
