CPUid and the cosair link software was getting similar temps.

No it’s been 5 years on the same paste. I’m going to try to get new paste on there this week. I also forgot to mention it’s over clocked to 4.3ghz. I didn’t even think the paste would be dry. Thanks for the help.

So I’ve had this build for about 5 years. It has run fine for the last 5 years with no hardware issues. Over the last few days after starting my PC in the first 10 min the cpu randomly spikes to 89C and shuts off. This is at idle without ever touching it. Im really not sure where to start. Theres no BSOD or anything it just turn right off. Any help is greatly appreciated. Build specs: - asus crosshair v formula-z atx am3+ motherboard - AMD FX8350 (over clocked to 4.3ghz) - Gskill ripjaw 4gb x4 - Corsair H100i - EVGA gtx970 - Corsair 750w ps cpu temps normally stayed in the 50s with some spikes to the low 60s under stress testing
