  1. Welcome to the forum! I hope you guys will find the forum useful and be able to save some money like @ultimategamernerd if you are getting suggestions for a new build.
  2. Are you using 2 8 pin connectors? Sapphire recommends 750W minimum to compensate for the poorly made power supplies so if one is to get a generic 750w power supply it will be enough to run it. The XFX power supply that you chose is more than enough to power this system.
  3. A 650W is more than enough to power a R9 280X unless you have 2 R9 280X? You should also check its VRM temps to see if it is overheating and causing it to throttle using HWInfo. Does this happen for every game?
  4. I don't see the specs of the pc. Have you tried an out of the case test before you placed it in the case?
  5. The OnePlus One is a phone which I am very concerned about its longevity as they may have skimped on some components. Having this test just suggests that the phone is using a decent camera sensor and ifixit's disassembly supports the fact that it is a Sony sensor (P13N05A): https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/OnePlus+One+Teardown/26484
  6. I would use compressed air to blow the dust out instead of using a vaccum. If you want better temperatures, I would try replacing the thermal paste on these cards:http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/10418-how-to-change-your-gpus-thermal-paste-with-pictures/
  7. Source: http://www.androidauthority.com/oneplus-one-vs-canon-5d-mark-iii-512758/ Its interesting to see a China phone beating the video quality of the expensive Mark III in daylight. But if they are to be tested in low light situations, the DSLR will be better due to its bigger sensor. The OnePlus One is a great phone to record videos during daylight but a DSLR is better in general as it offers more customizable settings in order to produce a better result. EDIT: More tests here: http://giacomomantovani.com/blog/oneplusone
  8. H97 does not allow overclocking while Z97 does but you would need a K series cpu. H97 also only supports 1x16 PCI-E graphics (single card) while Z97 supports 1x16 or 2x8 or 1x8+2x4 PCI-E (multiple graphic card configurations). 9. I don't think you are able to upgrade it since they are soldered and the graphics is on the cpu. Even though you replace your cpu, your bios may not support it and might not boot. Your cpu is an Ivy Bridge and the max graphics that it supports is the HD 4000 (P4000 is for desktop Xeons) so you are unable to upgrade unfortunately. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivy_Bridge_(microarchitecture)
  10. The SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 is also a good choice for a power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151107&cm_re=750w-_-17-151-107-_-Product
  11. You could edit the title by pressing the edit button on your post and press "Use Full Editor".
  12. The Corsair 300R:http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Carbide-Windowed-Computer-CC-9011017-WW/dp/B008B6ONXA/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1408394025&sr=1-5
  13. Where are you buying from and what is your budget? What resolution are you gaming on?
  14. What is your budget and where are you buying the laptop from? What do you use your laptop for? Unfortunately you are unable to upgrade a video card on a laptop as it is soldered on to the motherboard.
  15. I would go with the MSI Twin Frozr 280X unless you are able to negotiate with the seller about having a return policy of 30 days so you will have enough time to test it. I would also ask how long they have used it and if it is still in warranty.
  16. I would go with the SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W rather than the Raidmax one:http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151107&cm_re=750w-_-17-151-107-_-Product
  17. What is your budget and where are you buying from?
  18. I use my Nexus 7 2012 mainly for browsing and watching videos. I sometimes play games on it like 99 Bricks or Hill Climb Racing.
  19. and move the entire downloads folder to the HDD so Downloads will go there by default for other browsers: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/6cde20/location-change-of-download-folder-in-windows-8/
  20. I would check your temps using HWMonitor to see if your components are overheating and causing the system to shut down abruptly. What programs are you running in the background? May I know your specifications of your computer?
  21. I think Logitech will provide you with a shipping label if you complain that you have to ship the entire keyboard just for a few broken keycaps. This person at geekhack had experienced pretty good customer service: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=59567.0 So far I had only one broken keycap (the Crtl key) but it was after removing the O-rings on the keycaps so I doubt it would have cracked if I didn't remove them.
  22. What are your full specs of your system and what were you doing that caused the system to shut down?
  23. +1 if you want cheaper options, you could go for the XFX TS 550W or the SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM for 550w or Rosewill Hive 750W, SeaSonic M12II 750, or XFX Core Edition PRO750W for 750w.
  24. Its interesting that Intel chose SMS audio rather than other manufacturers. Guess SMS Audio is going to use this technology to help boost their sales.
  25. Seems like a clone of the Z97-A. Its pretty interesting to see them exaggerate over features that most boards have today such as the "Super Rapid Debug 3" or the "Super Durable Solid Caps". They assume that having the word super will attract people that this board is super and is a great board.
