  1. So I upgraded my PC a few weeks ago with a new CPU, motherboard and RAM. Everything is running smoothly except for this weird startup issue that does not affect the PC in any way, however it makes me feel really bad whenever I start my PC. This only happens in these loading screens before windows starts, and according to some google searches the reason it goes back to normal after startup is because the GPU drivers load up and fix it. If I enter the bios during startup, it looks perfectly normal and there are no more graphical issues. So this doesn't affect anything in terms of usability, it's just an annoying inconvenience that shouldn't happen. P.S: As you can see I've already tried disabling the BIOS logo which was previously that big AORUS one but the issue still persists.
  2. So I'm looking to buy a specific headset, but it has one known problem. It uses a 4 pole TRRS cable instead of 5 pole which has been causing crosstalk for a lot of people(audio from the headphones coming through the mic) even when the mic is completely detached, which indicates it is indeed the cable's fault. My question is, will that by any chance be fixed if I plug the 3.5mm jack into a splitter?
  3. It would be much easier to recommend if you mentioned a budget and the kind of games you want to play. My personal understanding of light gaming when it comes to your particular system is CSGO and LoL.
  4. I have a corsair sabre rgb mouse
  5. Well, the image quality of an 1440p should pretty much be objectively better than any 1080p. As for lasting long, as long as you pick the brand carefully you should be fine.
  6. I agree. I was just pointing out how cheap it is to play even the most demanding games at 1080p these days. And it IS cheaper than it used to be.
  7. Well it really depends what games you want to play. If you are more into triple A or games with story and demanding graphics, 1440p is definitely the way to go with the GPUs you listed. If you are more into competitive gaming like CSGO, you could even wait for the 360hz hype to calm down, in my country the asus 360hz monitor (without nvidia reflex) is already coming close to 400 euro. So it's up to you really. There is no ultimate choice here.
  8. The price of the st100 is most likely bumped by the 7.1 sound card, and a little bit by the brand. I won't be using the 7.1 in the stand, because my headphones already come with a 7.1 dongle. So basically the only thing I would be getting is the brand, which I usually care about, but after all this is just a lighted thing with I put my headphones on, anybody can make that in my opinion, and 3.1 USBs, which I was told don't matter for my mouse. $70(or more like 80 euros and trending towards 100 in my country) would almost be spending as much on the stand as on my headphones, which isn't really great for me. Now I could consider this, but in my current situation on a tight budget it doesn't make much sense.
  9. a 4C 8T like the 7700k paired with something like a 2080ti (or 3060 ti assuming it actually exists) will have at most 10 fps lower than newer CPUs, and that's in 1080p. The more GPU bound you make it, the less difference the CPU makes as long as it's fairly modern. There are special cases such as RDR2 where you can see something like this: But overall, CPUs are starting to make less and less difference when it comes to gaming. There is no doubt that cores and threads make a huge difference in other tasks, but in games it's incredible how much you can cheap out on the CPU nowadays. It would indeed be interesting to see how this changes in the future, but at the same time, 6C is becoming as affordable as 4C used to be, so if the C/T minimum starts moving up, it won't be much of a problem for gamers who want to run the latest games. Just look at it, i5 9400f is a 6C (yes it has only 6T, but it still brings insane performance). The point here is not that the i5 9400f is a beast CPU, no, the point is that in my country you can get this CPU for 100 euro already. The fact that people on a budget can get this CPU for 100 euros is just a blessing. I remember paying 200 euro for the i5 6500, how things have changed..
  10. Okay, so finally what is your opinion on the Trust Cintar GXT 265, does it have quality USBs(I saw that they are 2.0, does it need USB 3?), is it good? Or can you recommend me another stand in the $20-$30 range? Also, not gonna lie, I want the RGB
  11. Have you tested it? Could you feel it at all? Also, the one I was looking at is the Trust Cintar GXT 265
  12. So I was thinking about buying a headphone stand so I don't have to keep putting my headphones on my PC(lol). Since my mouse cable is at the very limit of its length when plugged into the PC(even if it's a very long cable) , I was also thinking I might plug my mouse into the headphone stand in order to have the wire more loose, which will allow me to move the mouse all across my mouse pad. Now the question is, will that add input delay? Is that a noticeable delay? My main game is CSGO, so any noticeable delay at all can make the difference between winning or losing a fight.
  13. Yeah for the CPU I'm very curious what the new ryzen 3 will look like, sounds really interesting considering what the other 5000 series perform like. Since he's gotta change his motherboard anyway, why not switch to AMD(of course, if the ryzen 3 lives up to my expectations)
  14. Yeah, this is so true, but this would suggest that he shouldn't even upgrade from his 1050 ti, and it would be very hard to convince him of that
  15. well he wants 1080p 60 fps high-ultra, and his 8GB RAM doesn't help a lot either
