  4. Vote on what one you think is the best. Post Why.
  5. Value is in the eye of the beholder... And... There is an ass for every seat. Id probably pay 400 for that but im not your target market. List it on craigslist or ebay for the value of the parts and wait for someone to make you an offer
  6. looks like linus is making a video lol
  7. But would you spend 1000 for three feet?
  8. Whats lukes tag in here? He should do this for the workbench series! or even a tech quickie.
  9. They do this... Placebo kicks in and everyone is always tricked...
  10. Audioquest claims that their cables are directional and that they specifically listen to every batch of metal conductors to determine which way the cable should go... HOLY SHIT DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW ELECTRICITY WORKS!!!!
  11. Has LTT or anyone ever done a video dispelling this hideous myth? If not they definitely should... Id show it to everyone that walks in the store
  12. I work at an electronics retailer where everyone firmly believes that high quality HDMI cables make a huge difference to audio quality. Specifically audio quest HDMI cables. I know that they dont make any difference, and that by their very nature (digital signal) it would not even be possible for any difference to exist between high speed HDMI. The managers even like to setup demos where they switch the HDMI and it sounds better with the more expensive cables... What do people think? How can I show these people that they are ignorant... There is no need to spend $1000+ on a three foot HDMI, yet some people fall for it...
  13. Yea i saw that forum post, most of the links are broken and its really not much help. I already know how to configure the options in TS i just want to know how to install it on freenas
  14. I have a paid TS server that i currently use and getting it working on my NAS would be more for fun than anything. But i would sure appreciate someone making an up to date video or guide on how to do it.
  15. NVM figured it out. The auto populated boxes screwed it up. Make sure everything is blank and then it will let you proceed
  16. How do i proceed in the wizard past the domain name setup part? I have no idea what it wants in that box...
  17. I got a 120 Sandisk for cheap
  18. Im trying to install a team speak server on my freenas box and there are no up to date instructions for that. Does anyone know how to do it and would they be willing to make a video tutorial?
  19. I might just get the San disk because i can run out to the store and get it instead of waiting for Amazon shipping... Im just wondering if makes ANY difference to have the OS loaded onto an SSD instead of the USB drive
  20. Do you think i would see any difference in the boot time for the box with an SSD? And im currently running it on a really old mechanical HDD so im mostly interested in the stability aspect of it.
  21. Is is worth it to have an ssd cache drive in a freenas box? Whats the optimal size? Would I see a benefit when loading videos for my plex or transferring movie/ picture files? Thanks, Elliott35
  22. Im looking to put an SSD into my Freenas box as the OS drive. I want a cheap one, it doesn't need to be larger than 32 gigs. What do you guys think is the best one? This one or This one seem pretty good. This is instead of booting off of a flash drive.
  23. I got to hold it the other day. Someone was breaking the rules lol
  24. That reviewer is retarded. He used speedtest.net to test how fast the router is.
