  1. Be Quiet! was willing to send me a new unit and have me dispose of the old one. They’ve stated that I will not be charged. Thank god.
  2. Hey everyone, So I got the new PSU from Be Quiet! yesterday and installed it in my system. Everything is working great, unit powers on and has been running without issue for the last 16 hours. Now for my next battle... Be Quiet! is stating that they will charge me for a new PSU if I send back my defective unit and they find it in "working" condition. Not sure about my next course of action here.... Let them process the charge and do a chargeback?
  3. Got a response back, they insisted that they completed the tests. Still threatening to charge me if the unit is "working" when they receive it. Guess I'll just do a chargeback.
  4. My point exactly. I asked them too hook up the PSU to an actual motherboard rather than checking a meter. The fact that I wasn't able to turn on two brand new motherboards should be proof enough.
  5. Only once (last Thursday) Power supply does not power up the unit either. Fans don't spin. No lights. Nothing.
  6. I've only gotten it to work with the paperclip test last Thursday. It was able to run two motherboards this morning for a brief moment. Now nothing.
  7. Thanks for clarifying. I feel like after all of this, we're finally getting somewhere. I forwarded this off into an email. Now we wait.
  8. Jesus man... So following the successful paperclip test on Thursday, I ordered a new motherboard to see if my unit was faulty. This morning, I plugged the power supply in and the new motherboard powered up. I was so excited! I couldn't believe that it was my motherboard the entire time. Just to confirm everything was functioning, I plugged in my power supply to the original motherboard. Everything lit up for a few seconds and then shut down again. I unplugged the PSU and plugged it into the new motherboard again and now nothing's lighting up. Paperclip test is not working either. What the HELL!
  9. I was able to perform the paperclip test and the PSU turned on for the first time in a month. I also came home to my computer randomly being turned off (Corsair PSU), despite having Sleep/Hibernate disabled. Ordering the same motherboard from Amazon to confirm that it's not part of the problem...
  10. Is this "load test" even relevant if it doesn't supply power to my motherboard? EDIT: I was also surprised to find that the unit they're testing my PSU with is $15 on Amazon. I purchased the same one, but cancelled it since reading this post. Obviously this problem is much bigger than it seems.
  11. Honestly... anything helps. I just don't want to be out $300, especially with what's going on right now with the world. I really appreciate the input. I've ordered a PSU tester from Amazon to see what my readings are. Curious to know if they're trying to screw me or something...
  12. It might be worth adding that this is what they measured "under load" I've been reading online that 5% +/- is acceptable. Is it possible that my motherboard is not accepting that low of voltage?
