  1. Do they make standalone upscalers? So, I own an Mclassic, which is an HDMI dongle I use for my switch, it does some light upscaling and antialiasing and it does an ok job. It got me thinking though, do they make higher end versions of this? Like a box you run HDMI's through and will AI upscale content to 4k for you? Maybe with a little anti-aliasing?
  2. I thought that may be the case, I wasn't sure how powerful, if any, TV's upscaled content.
  3. So this may be an odd question, or maybe even a super obvious question, but I got to thinking the other day.. So I own a 4k TV (TCL R635 if it matters), and from what I understand, that pretty much any content displayed on this tv with be upscaled by the TV to 4k. Let's say I am watching 540p or 720p content on Netflix (old cartoons or something) the TV will be upscaling it to 4k. But I also own that same exact show on a Blu Ray disc (1080p), would the quality be any kind of noticeable between the two since they are both being upscaled? OR because the blue ray is being upscaled from a 1080p source it will still be somewhat sharper than watching it on a streaming source at it's native resolution of 540p or 720p being upscaled? Unless I am wrong and TV upscaling doesn't really do all that much..
  4. Unfortunately I've messed with the input settings as well. My HDMI cord is rated for 2.1
  5. I'm not sure if this is a common issue but I haven't been able to find any help. So, anytime I hook my gaming PC up to my tv and boot a game, it looses signal. The normal desktop works fine as well as web browsing and other small apps, but as soon as I boot a game it looses HDMI signal. I normally game on a 2 monitor set up, both using DP's. One is a 1440p monitor at 144hz and the other is a cheap 4k 60hz monitor. My TV I use an HDMI cable and all my games work fine on my normal gaming monitors. My TV is a TCL R635 65" 4k 120hz panel with HDR. For my computer specs I have an RTX 3080, Ryzen 7 3700x, 32 gigs of 3600mhz ram, and a gold plus 850 watt power supply. Any suggestions?
  6. Awesome, thanks for clearing that up for me!
  7. Thanks for the fast response. Your answer does clear up most of the questions I had. So the Nvidia Jetson is more comparable to a raspberry pie. Nothing makes the product specifically better at AI programs compared to my PC. I'm definitely not attempting creating my own Siri, my question was more out of curiosity and I needed an example.
  8. So I have a fairly complex question, and I honestly don't even know where to start. So what brought this about was seeing ads for the Nvidia Nano Jetson among their other like products. I did some research and was learning a little about what it does but it opened up this wormhole of questions and I am having a hard time finding answers. So lets say, hypothetically, I wanted to create my own Jarvis (within reason of course) or something like my own siri. Would this Nvidia tool be something I would utilize for that, and if so would I integrate it into my own pc or is it a standalone product? OR would this be possible with my own PC using software, I currently have an RTX 3080 graphics card. Also, is this similar to creating BOTS. I follow a page on facebook called bots of new york where these bots make their own posts and generated images. I also remember seeing posts about people making these bots watch movies and creating their own scripts.
  9. Thanks for the fast response, I didn't think of trying that. I'll attempt that tonight to see if it makes a difference. So it's possible my computer is tuned to the 750 watts, and needs to be retuned to distribute a different wattage amount?
  10. Hey guys, I know trouble shooting is pretty hard without physically seeing things but I wanted to see if anyone has any idea. So currently I have a Seasonic 750 watt gold plus power supply. Recently I got ahold of the white RMX Corsair 850 watt gold plus power supply. So when I installed the new power supply, the motherboard RGB comes on like it's suppose to, but as soon as I hit the power button, everything turns on for a split second then shuts off. The motherboard RGB remains on as well as the ram RGB stays on as well. I hook my old power supply back up, not a single issue. I'm not really sure how to trouble shoot and see what is exactly causing the issue, or if I may have just got a faulty power supply. 11. Thanks for the fast response @SolarNova. I play a pretty wide variety of games, but I currently game on a 1440p 144hz monitor, I am usually averaging around 110-120 FPS depending on the game.
  12. So currently I have a Ryzen 7 3700x, 2080 Super, and 32 gigs of ram. I am looking to upgrade my CPU possibly to the new Ryzen 9 5900x when it drops and my graphics sometime next year. Out of curiosity, mainly for gaming, Will I notice any performance increase by upgrading my CPU? I know that my 2080 super will be a bottle neck for faster CPU's, I just want to know if there will be any kind of increase even if its small, or will my GPU hold me back?
