  1. I just had a new pc built, it has a asus tuf x570, ryzen 7 5800x, 32gb ram, zotac rtx 3060 & a 850w psu. My monitor is a gigabyte m32uc. Whenever I boot up my pc it turns the monitor on, I get the asus tuf animation & then it goes black, I know the monitor Is on & I can hear sounds but again the screen is black. In order for me to see my home screen in windows I have to power the monitor off and turn it back on again every time. I can't figure out what's wrong & there is no led indicator coming from the mb. I also have a webcam & printer connected to the pc. It wasn't an issue when I was testing it with a 1080p monitor.
  2. Well I don't overclock also aren't faster cores better? Also wouldn't the 11900k be better for my 3080 because of pcie4?
  3. Yeah it can't do that, I have it on turbo boost, when I compare it to other very similar builds its not hitting the frame rates that people are showing. I'm getting 130-140fps on cold war (low settings), someone I know that has a 2080ti 8700k, they're getting 170-185 on average without overclocking, same resolution and settings. It makes no sense to me, maybe it's just dying.
  4. I just want a higher resolution monitor & if I upgrade my monitor but not cpu I would just lose a ton of frames.
  5. First off I just want to say I play at 240hz and I prefer a high frame rate over graphics, I like to get as high as I possibly can when it comes to frames. Im currently playing at 1080p however I would like to also upgrade to 1440p 240hz and I don't think my 8700k will cut it. My current choices are the 5950x, 11900k or 10900k. I want to upgrade my cpu which is currently the i7 8700k, I wanted a more powerful cpu and I had a few questions about my current cpu and the newer ones I listed. Do they run hotter than my 8700k? If I bought one of them would I have to buy a new cooler? My current cooler is a dark rock 4 not a pro though. Im not a fan of liquid cooling at all so I want to stay away from it & I never overclock. Is it worth the upgrade or should I just keep my 8700k? People recommended it to me a while ago but no one talks about it anymore or recommends it, I mostly see 10900k or the 5000 series cards being recommended. Also I'm pretty sure it's discontinued so it's getting old. One last thing, should I wait for ddr5 to upgrade? I'm thinking covid & scalpers won't be as much of an issue by then.
  6. So I should just have no audio? I don't like speakers, I don't want to wake anyone up & they aren't as immersive.
  7. It's not JUST footsteps, that's just an example I'm giving.
  8. I currently own an arctis pro (wired) & a sennheiser hd600 both have failed to give me surround sound audio, I've tried disabling windows enhancements in windows properties settings, I've tried plugging them into different ports, using an amplifier etc like people suggest and it still isn't working & my audio is just flat, I've also tried listening to YouTube videos that test your headphones for 7.1 surround sound and again there is no directional audio on either of the headsets. I'm looking to get a pair that actually works so I can properly hear footsteps etc. I'm currently looking at audeze mobius & hyperx orbit s. I'm just wondering if they are any good, I really don't want to spend any more money until I know for sure if they're going to actually work as intended. Edit: I fixed it, there's a setting in sounds that I didn't even know was enabled called "mono audio", not sure why anyone would want this.
  9. Where can I find these enhancements? I don't see them. Are you talking about the actual settings when I click on the cog wheel or do I have to right click on the sound bar?
  10. I've had issues with sound since I've began gaming on my pc from console. I cannot figure out the issue but no matter what headset I use I basically have no directional audio, no bass, the sound is just flat. When I hear footsteps I just hear footsteps & I can't tell where they're coming from. I've used both a sennheiser 600 & a steelseries arctis pro (wired). When I'm on console I can hear just fine. When I ask people with the same setup about this issue they say they can hear just fine. I don't even wear my headset anymore & I'm literally using it as a speaker.
  11. Can I leave my external hard drive plugged in or will it cause problems? If I turn my pc off while it's plugged in wouldn't it cause issues or failure? It's like I'm not unplugging it safely with software.
  12. I'm wondering, is CCleaner any good? Would it be worth downloading or are there better alternatives?
  13. Thanks, that fixed my issue.
  14. For some reason even though my TV is off it's still streaming what is on my main display, also even after unplugging my mouse can move off of my main display when I move it to the right, there is no border.
  15. I'm currently using a 240hz 1080p monitor, I decided to use my 4k 120hz TV as a second screen. Ever since I plugged it in I'm getting random little stutters in my games and frame drops. What Is causing this issue? I have my TV plugged into my mb and my monitor in my gpu.
