  1. Steam says they still support it: Platforms (Steamworks Documentation) (steamgames.com)
  2. I've experienced this strange issue as well with a laptop. The solution for me was updating the firmware.
  3. I would suggest using Revo Uninstaller to perform the uninstall. That should be able to manually erase the files and registry entries that the native uninstaller is having issues with.
  4. If you're looking for a reliable air cooler, I would suggest Noctua: Amazon.com: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black, Dual-Tower CPU Cooler (140mm, Black) : Electronics
  5. The question is pretty vague. I might ask if you are looking for a water or air cooler?
  6. I personally don't use a spreader as the good old X method works for me, but otherwise like others have said you can make a spreader out of almost anything. I'd look for an old gift card you're not going to use.
  7. Unless someone else has another suggestion for you to try, I would most likely be making the assumption that the mobo is the issue at this point.
  8. Using the built in HDMI. Just checking to see if there is an issue with the display, but the system is still powering on.
  9. See if you can output video externally, reseat the laptop battery, otherwise I would suggest replacing your motherboard.
  10. Would suggest trying a new SSD. Your SSD is most likely dead. If it is an M.2, you might want to try a different nvme slot if your board has one. Likewise, with SATA you can try a different port.
  11. Small typo, the command is "OOBE \BYPASSNRO". It still works AFAIK. Then I'd download the drivers on another machine and just install them using a USB. Will most likely fix the issue. Your mobo may also just need a bios update as well.
  12. It is possible that you are exceeding the maximum wattage of the PSU, but it's strange that Fur Mark doesn't kill it. Have you tried putting the GPU in a different slot or do you have another GPU you can try temporarily (maybe from a different system)?
  13. I would also suggest that you run some diagnostics on your memory and HDD/SSD as the error is associated with a memory exception. Memtest 86 is good for testing ram, I'd let it run overnight. For the Drive, it really depends on the manufacturer. Most make a diagnostic tool for their product.
  14. Do you have any other applications running in the background while you are trying to run those games?
  15. Testdisk is the way to go. I'd probably suggest using it from a bootable USB to avoid moving bits on the drive you're recovering from and corrupting it more.
