  1. No worries, thanks for trying, hopefully someone comes around with an idea. It's just weird to get (assumed) error beeps, and then it still boots fine and dandy.
  2. I should've probably thought of that as well! But this is the only indicative screen I get (picture not mine, but it's this one.)
  3. I tried this three times, but I never got to see a screen like that before seeing my motherboard's screen pop up.
  4. I have never once seen that screen o.o Any suggestion on getting it to show? With SSD's these days boots are way too quick.
  5. What post screen? If you mean a LED display on the motherboard, I don't have one. If you mean on the actual monitor, I don't get a post screen there.
  6. Hiya, Speclist CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x CPU Cooler: Wraith Cooler RAM: G Skill DDR4 Ripjaws-V 2x16Gb 3200Mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision OC Case: Lian Li Lancool Mesh II RGB PSU: Enermax Revolution D.F. PSU 750W My new GPU arrived yesterday, and thus I threw it in together with my new PSU (35A, so am I correct in using one cable from the PSU for the two slots on the GPU?) Now, when I turn it on, it gives me three really short beeps, then a normal POST beep, and then it actually boots. Everything seems to work, my GPU's fans spin when under load, I get the same average 3DMark scores at others with my setup. The card get's recognized as the RTX3080. So I've got no clue as to what the post error would refer to, as my manual doesn't include a post list, and it gives me conflicting feelings when gives an error, yet still boots. Any other suggestions for me to try, or what could be the issue? Am I safe in using it like this for now?
  7. Hiya, Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision OC CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x PSU: Enermax 750W Revolution DF So, I've upgraded my PSU and installed my new Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision OC, and am now getting a postcode on boot. I have yet to find what the post code means. The post code is: three really short quick beeps, a small pause, and a single beep (The same one as a normal boot). Despite the post code, it does actually boot into windows. Lastly, my PSU is a modular Enermax 750W Revolution DF, do I use one PCI-E cable that comes from the PSU's PCI-E port (35A) and splits into two to put into the GPU. Or do I use two separate cables, and then use one of each for the GPU, letting half of them dangle? Can someone help me?
  8. See, that's the thing, until last week I had no idea it was a rather notorious PSU, yet alone a firehazard PC killer ones. Guess I should've put some points into wisdom besides dumping them all into luck. What's the difference between those rail things? And are modular PSU's recommended above others? I want to get a rather good one now then.
  9. Hiya to you all! With a (potential, don't jinx it) RTX3080 on the way, and the rest of my rig already having been upgraded... well, I say upgraded, but at this rate the only thing remaining the same is my PSU and drives. Now the question I have is, what is the lifetime of a PSU, and whether or not I should upgrade it right now. Speclist: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x CPU Cooler: Wraith Cooler (Stock, not going to OC) RAM: G Skill DDR4 Ripjaws-V 2x16Gb 3200Mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite GPU: Palit GTX 1070 Jetstream (Soon to be an Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision OC) Case: Lian Li Lancool Mesh II RGB PSU: Inter-tech Energon PSU 750W ATX (Age: +-6 years) now for the PSU, I've got a rather notorious brand it seems, it being an Energon. I didn't know this when I bought the PC (Came from DragonComputers), and in return it has served really well for the last 6 years that I have had this computer. Thus I'm wondering should I shell out more right now to get a new PSU from a reputable brand, or can I rely on this one that has served me well for 6 years already. As for a new PSU, any recommendations with my setup? I'm certain I need to stay above 750W, but I have no idea about modular, single rail or multi rail, and which is better for my use case. Anyway, thanks for reading already!
