Hey all, longtime reader/watcher, first time poster.
Couple months back I built a new R5 3600 based system (Asus TUF x570, 16gb 3200mhz ram, evga supernova ga 650w, noctua u14s on the cpu). I didn't at the time really have the cash for a new graphics card, and I wasn't about to buy a 20 series with 30 on the horizon, so I've been running my 970 in it for the time being. I do wish it had a little more though, so I decided to overclock it a bit with afterburner. I've overclocked every cpu i've ever owned (last pc was an FX-8150 system running at 4.7) but never have I fiddled with squeezing a gpu.
Anyway, 3 stock runs on Heaven @900p on extreme averaged an 1810 score. 3 runs at the settings attached averaged 2089.
So for more seasoned eyes, does this look like expected results? Should I push for more? Should I step back a notch? Is this even worth it?
I think I could get lower temps with a custom fan profile instead of auto, because they never even go to 100%. It's quite chilly here in the pc room around 18-20c ambient.
Thanks all for any advice, love reading these forums.
