Harrison D's Achievements

  1. Helped my brother-in-law build his PC with all the parts coming from Best Buy. Of course that was before Covid, so..
  2. Do you know how to get into the bios?
  3. Definitely budget but upgradability was a huge factor as well. Getting a motherboard that supports multiple (future) generations of CPUs, quad channel memory (4 RAM slots) M.2 support (heckin fast hard drives mounted directly to the MB), etc. Most besides that, most components can be easily upgraded or replaced down the line. For example if you start with two RAM sticks, you can simply add two more down the line. Graphics cards are easy, and with time and research so is the CPU. Happy Building!
  4. Make sure it doesn't fall into that fan lol
  5. Is the question what hardware is powerful enough to run 1080p, then the answer is pretty much anything at this point.
  6. Depends on budget and if you can even find an xbs. Don't forget, if you want the full xbs experience you need a good tv to go along with it. Granted the same argument could be made about finding newer graphics cards as well. So it just comes down to what do you want out of them? Xbox exclusives or play with other Xboxers? Or do you want to game and browse the web or be productive, making music or videos, ect. Best of luck with whichever you decide on.
  7. "Youtubers" Rarely make videos for fun or their health, so if their videos are sponsored I don't usually mind. If I like their content I want them to continue making videos, and if that means they need money from their sponsors that's fine with me. What I don't like are the actual Youtube adds, which is why I have YT Premium.
  8. Never hurt mine, just don't let it get away from you, haha.
  9. Taking the graphics card in a separate secure box has been the tried and true method for me. The original product box is best if you still have it. I also used the anti static bag that came with the motherboard for some extra peace of mine. These bags are relatively inexpensive online too. Once the GPU is out the only thing that tends to come loose in transit is the RAM. But better safe than sorry.
  10. This worked for me back when I built mine and it's held strong for about 4 years now. Get w10 pro
  11. Well done! Nice ram choice too. Happy gaming!
  12. I recently installed the Intel Wifi 6E m.2 in my MSI Z390 Gaming Plus motherboard. It doesn't seem to want to function.. All connectors are in, board's bios updated to latest version, and WIFI/BT drivers downloaded and installed (from what I can tell). I've looked all through my bios and can't identify where to enable the chip, and the motherboard won't even show that it's connected to the E-Key slot. Any help or incite would be appreciated, Thanks
  13. @Radium_Angel Will do my dude! Thanks for replying so quickly!
  14. Okay, I got it back.... Holy crap I was panicking. I was just being stupid and not looking in the right place. I appreciate you @Radium_Angel I
  15. Haha you might think so.. I can only find the boot settings and not the actual drive it's booting from. I there a way from the recovery menu? Every option I tried hit an error except the full wipe. And I don't know how to use the command prompt. UPDATE: Think I found the boot drive options. It's loading now so we'll see.
