  1. I will give it a try. But wouldn't windows install the new driver once I turn the internet on again? I still want to be able to play online games.
  2. Recently I bought a Nvidia p106-100 mining Gpu to run games on it. There were two Videos on LTT showing how to do it, and I wanted a fun little project while saving some money. And it actually worked! I installed the modified driver (416.34) and were able to play some games. However, not for long. Because for whatever reason, Windows likes to install the Nvidia Control Panel after some time and installs the driver 432.00. The P106 still shows up in the device manager, but playing on the card instead of the integrated Intel Graphics doesn't work anymore, as I'm not using the modified, old driver. The Card does not show up as a high performance GPU anymore. I tried almost everything. I disabled automatic driver updates, I disabled Windows updates, I tried to play around in the registry and I even deleted the Windows Store using Powershell, because it seemed to reinstall the Nvidia control Panel every time. But nothing fixed the issue and it's driving me crazy! Everything works fine until Windows decides that it has to install a newer driver version for me. Does somebody know how to stop Windows from doing that? I want to use the card for my second gaming pc which I want to use when friends come over. So deactivating Windows-Updates for example doesn't bother me that much. i5-4440 Nvidia p106-100 Windows 10 Pro
