I finally put everything together, turned the PSU on and hit the power button for the first time and nothing happened at all, except an LED on the GPU.
I thought the power button header might be in the wrong place so i took the GPU out and took the headers out, putting just the power button back in. Turned the PSU on again, causing a loud pop and some smoke.
Afterwards i realised that i would have heard the fan on the PSU when i turned it on, so i guess it was broken from the start?
Bit worried that it may have broken other components.
On the PSU i plugged the two non-modular cables into the mobo and an 8pin cable from the PSU to the GPU 6pin. I presume this is correct?
Advice? Thanks!
