OK so far both power supply and CPU replaced and still nothing going to try motherboard now.

Ok the usb install disk I had been using was a windows 8 one I had lying around,well i was going to install windows 7 and i was about to install it when I decided to just try a startup repair with the windows 7 disk.
 
Well i ran it and it rebooted i removed the usb drive to see what happened,and it booted into a windows 10 update....

The headphones i bought are the Audio-Technica ATH-AD500x if that helps.
 
I plan to make a youtube playlist with all the suggestions and jam out for a while,since this is my first pair of REAL headphones.

I've been using VLC for a long time, last year I moved my PC into the living room and went with a 65" 4K TV.
I didn't know that a media player utilized GPU to enhance video playback existed and when I first heard about it,I dismissed the benefits as placebo effect and gimmicks but installed it to try it out anyway. Didn't do a direct comparison between different media players, just setup basic upscaling settings and didn't do any further testing. Fast forward to last week, I didn't know how good I had it until I decided to do a fresh OS install and tried media playback before reinstalling MPC&madvr combo.

This time around I played with the settings even more. I pushed the IQ settings a lot higher, to the point where the GPU couldn't handle it and playback was stuttering (no SLI support sadly) and then backed off a little til playback was smooth again.

To compare it, this must be what before and after cataract surgery feels like.

Few caveats: Playback disc/file has to be decent, not uncompressed BR but not terrible either. 720p doesn't work quite as well as 1080p upscaling. RGB range needs to be set to full and to get the most out of it display should be calibrated through http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/

Keep in mind this setup guide was done with older GPU's in mind. The better the GPU, the better image quality you can push. My 980TI is nowhere near able to max out the settings but the image quality keeps improving though the GPU can't keep up for a smooth playback so I have to take it down a notch. For reference this is a screenshot of the settings I'm using, you'll have to experiment with other settings to get the most out of it: 



If you watch the Game of Thrones season 6 finale through this setup, in the opening scenes, Tommen is getting dressed, you can see dust specs floating around. Grab any content you have seen before with non GPU utilizing player and you will instantly notice the difference in image quality. A lot more detail and sharper image.

I already planned on that,i also am getting a SNES one an N64 one,and i am going to TRY a PS1 one also because a friend has a copy of Spyro that i am going to buy from him.

The motherboard i want for my build has been out of stock,but i did some emailing and someone told me it should be in stock in 2-3 days.
 
Should i go ahead and order my other parts while i wait? since it's only a few days?

If you expected it to do well in all games, its your expectations that was to high. Not what AMD showed. becaue they didnt show much gaming at all, especially not with 7700k.
the ONLY thing they showed against 7700k was in gaming while streaming. all others was vs. 6800k and 6900k, that is worse single core peformance than 7700k.
AMD never aimed Ryzen at normal gamers, they armed it at people that do rendering, streaming, or video editing.
 
And the things they showed DOES matter, but not for gamers. because they didnt aim them at gamers.

A few notes>
Ryzen was never meant to beat Intel Since when have 8c/16t chips ever dominate the much higher clocked 4c/8t chips? If you want to see whether Ryzen is truly going to be dominated in gaming, wait for the R3 and R5 lineup. Case closed

Why did people expect an 8 core/16 thread to be as good as a 7700k for gaming in the first place?
 

You know what,after for ever backing up files,i decided that i am just going to leave it for now.
 
Because if stuff goes well i should be building a ryzen system soon.
 
And this my system will just go to my brother in law and i will reinstall the OS and test it then.

Got all the stuff out.
 
I also test fitted a PSU using a dead one,and a possible mounting spot for an HDD.
 
Got the door and front key pad off,and got the bottom removed.
 
 
Now on to stripping the paint and seeing just how much rust it has since it is  3 years old.

Hmm... maybe for the 680 it's locked/they dont allow you to modify the temp limit on the 680?

I changed you build a little bit to not only max the budget,but also to change out the ram and storage,because he wanted 16GB to allocate 6-8GB of ram to minecraft, he also didn't mind a 120GB SSD and want more HDD space,he plans to only put his OS and mabye one game on the SSD.
