  1. I was just wondering if anyone has had to replace a Zotac card's thermal paste due to terrible temps. It's been 3 years and 4 for me, all preforming 20 to even 30c cooler with Artic Silver applied instead. I knew Zotac was a cheap brand but jesus christ do they have planned obsolescence down. I'm thinking about buying a 3060 card from them, mistake or coincidence?
  2. Okay I was just wondering because I've never used ISO installation through Rufus before and Rufus does require legacy booting but UFEI* and not csm is currently enabled in BIOS so I guess It's fine.
  3. Unless we're talking about audio quality, wireless is fine for everything else. (For instance don't stream music on Tidal thinking it's going to be hifi if you're using BT.) You said you don't have BT and no wifi as an option so bonus for you not running into that mess. For everyday computing wireless is fine. I just find myself using more batteries when I use a wireless mouse. I'd suggest finding a mouse, wireless or not, that has a good reputation and isn't reputable for planned obsolescence. I've been using this Corsair Scimitar for 2 years now with regular cleaning and maintenance it runs like I just bought it yesterday.
  4. Silly question. Recently just installed a new ssd (boot drive) and it has no ufei or recovery partition. It wasn't installed in legacy but I did use Rufus so maybe it was...? It's GPT not MBR so I'd assume it's not in legacy. Anything weird about this? Partition CMD
  5. Hii. I've noticed one of my MSI Optix G241 monitors has a screen issue. Sometimes tiny dot artifacts will take shape when something is open, upon minimizing or closing it goes away almost like it's a 'layer' issue. Does anyone know if there's a similar website or program to Jscreenfix that can run on the entire monitor and not just a tiny section? Or if this is just as simple as getting a new dp? Thank you.
  6. Finally fixed! It was a corrupt BIOS update pingng many different things that weren't related.
  7. Windows Optional Update may have fixed the issue. I was going through every option possible for a fix and learned some things as well which was helpful actually. Processexplorer feels a ton more stable now and I'm able to open up system apps that would automatically close after loading. The problem could be fixed but I don't want to get my hopes up. Def will send a dmp if I crash again.
  8. I will do so if the current hotfix I have configured divulges into another BSOD. Seemingly some important registry values were tampered with explaining the bricking of certain programs. The dump clarifies it's a 'system first' issue so this could solve the problem. I'll keep you posted and post those dmp files if it happens again. The issue about posting the dmp files is that it's very confusing due to multiple crash instances all occurring from the system as a launch point which makes the problem hard to identify.
  9. Not to create a strawman and I'm not reading this entire thread for time's take but... People can buy whatever crap they want. I mean, it doesn't matter what you tell some people - they'll just buy the crap they want anyway. We've all been like this at one point, especially a thing that we didn't know a large thing about and would not do now. It's a learning experience and some people just need to experience it to learn to not buy that product(s).
  10. So I've been getting the classic Hypervisor BSOD and tried everything I can to circumvent it from happening. This includes running DDU, activating the [Hypervisor] service and reinstalling the service, updating BIOS to latest also chipset. Virtualization is on. Crashed both without oc and oc PC. I haven't turned off tpm in BIOS and some people are telling me to do so but I'd rather have that encryption on. Anyone have any clue what's causing this or a way to troubleshoot it? I'd post dmp files from Windbg but they're inconclusive and don't say what is causing the issue just that the system is crashing (lol). Event viewer isn't logging anything on this either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
  11. Why did you originally change cables? I'd just call your ISP and yell if you don't get answers within 24 hours.
  12. This ^ and get yourself a 2k monitor instead, 16gb could even handle 4k I think. Way better experience and you get what you actually paid for.
  13. Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong thread. I have a headache, yea I have excuses. Anyway, I noticed my hotspot (GPU #2) on my current GPU is incredibly hot on load 90-93c. Temp #1, (main package) stays sub 80 on load. My GPU has copper coiling like a pipe. Could my 'hotspot 2' just be pinging the pipe temperature? I just want to know because I'm not a fan of pipes that stick out and don't want to buy a new GPU with the chance of getting coil whine as well. Thankx
  14. Have you tried jumping the motherboard? Might work. https://youtu.be/FuPZlliGqBw
