  1. What I didn´t think about: My Phoebus has only a 3.5 mm jack wheras the T1 has a 6.35mm one. Can there be a problem or interference when I´m adapting it to 3.5mm?
  2. Hmm I guess I´ll just try then the T1 with my Phoebus. But why can DACs get so expensive if they don´t improve the sound quality, e.g. DACs for over 1000€. But in Germany CPUs motherboards and computer hardware in general are more expensive
  3. Testing these headphones would´nt be much of a problem, because the Bayerdynamic HQ lies in the second town I´m living in ( Heilbronn, Germany) . I would also buy a pair of Sennheiser HD 800s to test them against each other. I don´t really like fanboyism but I´m kinda addicted to Bayerdynamic because I´m still very impressed by my DT880s. I was looking at the essence one/muses edition as a DAC, so a waste of money? The "normal" Essence one would be just 70€ extra compared to an Objective o2 dac due to international shipping... EDIT: Don´t going to buy HD 800 because the cheapest ones start about 1200€ whereas the T1 is 950€...
  4. Hey guys. I´m not really an expert in terms of audio and how everything works, but I really enjoy listening to music and want to upgrade my audio setup. I´m currently useing a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 880 (250 Ohms) with a Asus Xonar Phoebus Sound Card. I read many different reviews and I´m deciding to get the Beyerdynamic T1 as their high end premium modell. The problem is that I´m not really into DACs and Amps and that sort of thing. I would really like to get the best out of theses headphoenes and my budget for a DAC+Amp combo would be around 600€. I really hope someone here could help me
  5. Hi guys, I´m not really an "audio guy" in terms of understanding much about the topic, but I would say that I enjoy listening to music, even more if it sounds really well. I´m having for about 3 years now a Asus Xonar Phoebus Sound Card and bought areound two years a go a pair of Beyerdynamics DT 880s because I´ve got a really good deal on them (190€ for the 250 Ohm Version). By now I´m not having any trouble with neither with the soundcard nor the headphoenes, but I keep asking myself if I still could the sound quality. I hope you could help me by telling me if it would really make sense to sell my soundcard and buy a new external DAC&AMP. Could there be an improvement and would this improvement justify the price of a new external DAC? My budget would be a max of around 300€ (around 335$).
  6. I like it´s "not overbuildness" if you can say that
  7. 120 GB Boot SSD ( never thought about buying an SSD, but my old Hard Drive broke and SSD were so cheap ; NEVER EVER WITHOUT SSD), 1 TB external HDD as (mobile) mass storage
  8. I give up. Reinstalled windows, didn´t change. I have serious flickering and Aliasing issues and I´m really sorry that you can´t see them in the videos. Guess I´ll have to deal with it.
  9. No I´m not useing virtu. I tried another DVI slot and another monitor( my tv via hdmi), didn´t work. Downlocked my CPU and used another card ( my old 6950), didn´t work. Is it possible that this is just a software problem? Would a reinstallation of Windows make the problem disappear then?
  10. Here are the videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/likesm14
  11. Tried different BIOS versions F8->F6->F1->F8, didn´t help. Tested each ramstick by it´s own, didn´t help. I don´t get what´s the f***ing problem. The GPU is brand new and my CPU passes Prime 95 and Aida 64 without any problems! Maybe a software problem? What hardware part could affect the image displayed other than the GPU? I am desperate.....
  12. But the artifacts were still there when I used the stock clock of my older card
  13. The card isn´t the problem, because I had the same problems with my older card.
