  1. Thank you very much for your help, much appreciated.
  2. Sorry for the confusion I looked at the one below it in the list, Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WI-FI), accidentally which is 507, roughly around 500. The list is filtered for 5 stars, AM4 and ATX. I was saying the Gigabyte one is 420, I should have been more clear. Regarding budget I would like to get the best available for the best value if you get what I mean. Like I don't want to just splash the cash for the sake of it because that's wasteful and I ain't got the money to waste but I also want to make sure and not get a cheap PoS.
  3. Bit wary of buying from the UK at the moment because of Brexit and what that could mean with any possible returns if anything went wrong, so my options are buy here in Ireland which is generally quite expensive or buy from continental Europe; if they ship here which can be a bit of a problem. Theoretically I could just risk it and buy it from Britain or possibly even America but that comes with extra tax and wouldn't necessarily provide the same consumer protections as I would have buying from within the EU; I would still have to get heavy components here or pay a bomb in shipping.
  4. As regards CPU I'm thinking either a Ryzen 3900 or Ryzen 3950X. Is there much of a difference between Wifi 5 and Wifi 6? I need 2 m.2 slots. I'm also wondering at how important or useful is onboard video? I'm not too concerned about RGB to be honest, I can take it or leave it.
  5. Just to say for me that's a 420 Euro board compared to a 500 Euro board, so not such a large difference over here.
  6. So I was wondering which would you recommend between the following and why, if you need any more details just ask . Thanks for your help. Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Vs. Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER ATX AM4 Motherboard
  7. Ah ok, Thank you very much for your help. Much appreciated.
  8. Ah, the CPU I'm thinking of getting is either a Ryzen 9 3900 or Ryzen 9 3950X.
  9. So I was wondering in regards to RAM should I pay much attention to the CL or First Word Latency or is the only important part the speed. Like if I'm buying memory should I prioritise speed over everything or do I want to try and get some that's more a jack of all trades?
  10. Thank you very much for your prompt answers, much appreciated.
  11. So I was wondering is it better, performance-wise, to fill all your RAM slots rather then just having 2 sticks running in Dual Channel or does it not make a difference? Like for example if I want 32GB of RAM is it better to have 4 sticks of 8GB RAM or should I get 2 sticks of 16GB RAM? From my initial investigation it seems 2 sticks of 16GB is cheaper than 4 sticks of 8GB, assuming you get the same brand, model, speed etc.. Thanks for your help.
  12. So I was wondering if a motherboard has a max memory of 128gb with four slots does that mean I have to use 32gb ram sticks; not sure if it works that way or if that's a stupid question. Like I know there's max amounts for RAM but are there minimum amounts? Thanks for your help.
