  1. I'm going to be honest where I'm getting 3200mhz from is what it says in the bios as well as the task manager. Maybe there is something I'm missing, but I know what I am seeing. I also ran windows memtest through the cmd prompt. If memtest 86 is better, ill try that. Even if I reset the bios, it will say 3200mhz. I think it just has to do with aorus motherboards. I used to have an msi motherboard, but I barely messed with its bios. I don't know much about ram overclocking, so it's not as if I tamper with ram often. I also never buy used parts, so it's not possible for someone else to have messed with my software settings. Though it should be obvious from my other comments that I don't know much about this, which is why I made a post about it asking for help.
  2. So I tested each card, and I've found that one of the cards wasn't allowing the motherboard to post, or when it did post, it would blue screen within each port. I'll be RMAing it. I'm just glad it wasn't the motherboard lol. Running a memtest on the other cards for now just to be sure. I geuss I'll just have 3 8gb cards in my motherboard for now. Is it possible for me to just simply buy another individual card of the same model? Or would that be an issue?
  3. I will be sure to look into it. Though I have a few more things to add/ask. So when installing cpuz do I just want to install the classic version? I installed it from what I'm seeing the current dram frequency it's running at 1599.6 with just one stick. Though the task Manager says 3200mhz. Should I test this with all slots occupied instead?
  4. Okay, well in general I want to say you and everyone else on this site have been more helpful than all the assistance I might find on reddit lmao. But yeah I'm not attempting to be objective with what you are saying. I'm just letting you know before ever even installing any card rated at 3600mhz, as soon as I boot up my system with a fresh set of 3600mhz cards, it runs at 3200mhz everytime with other motherboards I've used in the past. Now is the only time it's been an issue. Granted, between those times I had a 3700x before upgrading to a 5800x.
  5. Okay I will check it out. Right now I'm testing each individual card in each slot at 3200mhz. So far each card I've tested, in each slot, hasn't created any blue screens at 3200mhz with only 1, 8 gb stick. Is 3200mhz, without xmp, only an issue when all slots are populated?
  6. Okay, well I really appreciate all the details. I'm just trying to make sure the motherboard is fine. I ran 3200mhz with ram rated at 3600mhz on my x570 aorus master, I just upgraded to an x570 aorus Xtreme. The Xtreme is a flagship motherboard, is it likely since it's more high end, that it requires more from the ram?
  7. Okay, so when I'm running 3200mhz without XMP enabled, is when it's an issue. 3200mhz is the lowest it will run by default. As soon as you install ram rated at 3600mhz, it only allows you to run 3200mhz by default until you enable XMP. At least that's my experience for any card I've owned rated at 3600mhz
  8. Are you suggesting this is normal then? Isn't 3200mhz the default even for ram cards rated at 3600mhz? Wouldn't it be better for the motherboard for my ram to be underclocked at 3200mhz without issues? Everytime I run 3200mhz with all slots populated it gives me the security kernel blue screen error.
  9. I'm just testing to see why it can't run the 3600mhz of ram at 3200mhz. I've never had this issue before. Typically when you get ram above 3200mhz, that's essentially the default and it should run fine. Though for some reason it gives me a security kernel check code and blue screens when it's undercooked. It would make since if the cards where overclocked, but for some reason it runs fine at xmp.
  10. I mean the memory test at 3600MHz with xmp came out with no errors. I've always had the ram running at 3600MHz as soon as I got them, they all came in one pack. They are brand new corsair vengeance RT models. The motherboard also doesn't appear to have any scuff marks or visual damage. I'm hoping its a software issue it's been a pain switching these motherboards out over and over. Though these issues occurred as soon as I installed everything with the motherboard. Maybe since the cards are so new that it's possibly a compatibility issue?
  11. Okay so I have 32gbs of ram with 4 cards all 3600MHz with a ryzen 5800x. My system only appears to be stable and running properly when I have XMP enabled with 3600mhz fully utilized. Though as soon as I disable xmp and run the cards at 3200MHz, it causes blue screens. Right now I'm testing each card in each slot to see what the issue could be. Right now I don't know if it's the motherboard slots or the ram cards themselves. If there is a software fix for this, let me know so I can't prevent myself from rmaing the new motherboard I just got lol.
  12. Though I believe there's a misunderstanding. My ram is rated at 3600mhz. The only way I can utilize it is if XMP is enabled. My computer won't blue screen when XMP is enabled, though when it's running at 3200MHz, below the 3600mhz it's rated at is when it's an issue.
  13. Well its still under Amazon's 30 day return. I'm going to test each card in each slot to be sure before I switch back to my other motherboard for now.
  14. Well I tried that and it seemed to allow me to finally download windows from a boot media. I'm running a mem test right with all cards now. My ram is rated at 3600MHz. When it was running at 3200MHz is when it appeared to be an issue. I tried booting at 3600mhz with xmp and it didn't cause a blue screen. I don't know if it's the ram slots from the motherboard or the ram cards themselves. Each card allows me to boot to the os from one slot, though when I installed all the ram cards it gave me another blue screen when they where running at 3200MHz. I've ran 3200mhz with a 5800x before, so I'm not exactly certain.
  15. Okay, so I'm in a serious situation. While being on leave I installed a new motherboard, an x570 aorus xtreme. All my hardware is relatively new or reliable and works fine. Though I keep getting blue screen loops. I was able to use the restore point once, though after that it started to blue screen again and i was no longer able to access my system restore points. The partitions end up changing everytime it reboots, which doesn't make sense. I did end up updating the bios, though I'm not certain if that made things better or worse. I literally get a variety of differnt stop codes everytime. My system won't allow me to do a full reset. Everytime I try installing with a USB iso file it stops the installation and gives me an error code, with every drive. Cant even repair anything with the command prompt such as sfc or dism, it just doesn't work. My data is still there and my drives are somewhat accessible. Though I literally have no way of even accessing my OS beyond the boot setup and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm doing what I can to format a USB and redoing the boot media method. I'm thinking my usbs could simply not be fast enough, though I'm not certain. I was literally just using it yesterday no problem.
