  1. Long story short. Need to beam internet from 1 house to another that's ~150Meters away. With about 3 Trees and some branches in between. And, from what I understand. Using stuff like "airMAX LiteBeam 5AC", you get 2 of them. Put them at the said 2 locations. Use the Included "24V DC, 0.3A GbE PoE adapter" to grant ur non PoE Ethernet cable the ability to power said Transmitter/Receiver. They need to have as much line of sight of each other as possible. Then with some Software App configuring/pairing. (setting up one as the Transmitter, and the 2nd one as the Receiver.) You are done? Is it really that easy? Or am I missing something. (PS: Yes with how short that Distance is, it be cheaper to use a wire.. i know that. But I'm not allowed to. So looking into this PtP stuff to get my main internet back as the old wire died after 10 years.. and I cant replace it...)
  2. I definitely do plan on upgrading to a better GPU eventually. I plan on using the new platform for atleast 5 years. (been using my 6600k platform for 8 years now) And, just to make sure. The E-Cores on the new Intel CPUs, they are more for background updates n stuff? And not for running a game in the background? Lets say i use Bluestacks to emulate a game or two. Or have videos playing on the side. Or leave a game running (lets say a Factory type game) Its running in the back, while i play/do something else. Would the E-Cores matter then, or is it still just something the big boy cores handle. Because if the use for Ecores is that limited, then yea the 7800x3D is a better choose.
  3. Would you say its better to go Intel, Save the money id need to use for AMD (since i have DDR4 3600, and would need to spend 130Euro to get DDR5 for AMD) And use that coin to get a proper Case?
  4. I've seen the Benchmarks by Gamers Nexus, LTT, Hardware Unboxed, and the 7800X3D seems easily worth the extra 45-35Euro over the 13600k/14600k. If the use case is primarily gaming. I haven't been able to find any benchmarks/tests that compare these CPUs while having 2-3 monitors up doing something. (Playing Video, having an interactive map up or having another game up) And that's how I use my PC, its nearly never doing just 1 thing. I mainly play Openworld, Combat Simulation, Basebuilding/Management games. (FarCry/AssassinsCreed, RDR2, Satisfactory, Factorio, From The Depths, Empyrion, The Planet Crafter, Ark Survival.) And on occasion fast paced shooters. (Warframe, Roboquest, UltraKill) I think I'm mostly in need of a CPU that can handle loads of entities being placed/spawned/loaded in. While having spare power for smaller tasks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now, to mention the rest of the component choices and prices. Which i need help choosing between (or getting told alternatives) . (links are to the manufacturers product page) And i do have a strong preference for MSI and Asus Motherboards. For the AMD CPU: Mobo: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (210€) MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI (220€) MSI MPG B650 CARBON WIFI (300€) MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI (305€) DDR5 RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws S5, DDR5, 32 GB, 6400 MHz (120€) G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB, DDR5, 32 GB, 6400 MHz (140€) Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm (90€) For the Intel CPU: Mobo: Asus TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS D4 (230€) MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 (255€) MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI (270€) If i go with DDR5 Mobo, id also need new DDR5 RAM, maybe the above mentioned Kits. Would that be worth the better performance or no? G.SKILL Ripjaws S5, DDR5, 32 GB, 6400 MHz (120€) G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB, DDR5, 32 GB, 6400 MHz (140€) But if i stick with DDR4, i already have a kit of: Kingston Fury Renegade 3600Mhz 32GB Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm (90€) And this is my main concern..I suppose? (idk what word to use) If i go with intel, i save ~120-140€ by not needing new RAM. So, does the ram cost fully negate the extra performance per coin when going from 13600k to 7800X3D, so would using that extra coin on a 13700k be better? (for Multitasking purposes) Also, im not quite sure what AMDs chipsets are n stuff. Hence 4 options.. My Basic Intel Build 'n math is: CPU: 13600k (300€) / 13700K (375€) Mobo: MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 (255€) Ram: Kingston Fury Renegade 3600Mhz 32GB (0€) Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm (90€) Total: 645€ / 720€ ------- My Basic AMD Build 'n math: CPU: 7800X3D (345€) Mobo: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI (220€) / MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI (305€) RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws S5, DDR5, 32 GB, 6400 MHz (120€) Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm (90€) Total: 775€ / 860€ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Note: I am highly interested in Overclocking, Hence why i only choose Z series Mobos and K series CPUs for Intel, and im familiar with how to do so, with Intel. Not at all familiar with AMD OC doe, curious to try doe Note 2: I intend on using my existing OS Drive with the new System, not for ever, just a while until i can get a new SSD for the new System. So, if there are any major issues with using an old Intel System drive with an AMD system, do tell. Note 3: I already have a PSU, the MSI MPG A850GF 850W OS Drive n Storage Drive, and GPU ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Onto my main questions. 1) Which CPU/Build will handle multitasking better? (Like not take away from the main application while having others running well) Considering the Intel CPUs have more Cores id assume they would better at that.. but im not sure. 2....) Its fine to keep a System ontop of a motherboard box right? I intend to just... build the new build, and plop it onto the Mobo box which will be on my desk. *looks at Case pricing* Cuz aint no way im spending that much on a metal box when i have a perfectly good cardboard one i could use. Not right away atleast.
  5. At 1st I got a BSOD named "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal" This is like the 5th different BSOD I got that involved Drivers. So i looked up ways to check n verify drivers. I then: -Opened: Driver Verifier Manager -Selected: Create Standard Settings | And Pressed Next. -Selected: Select driver names from a list | And Pressed Next. -Selected: Select All | And Pressed Finish. It then asked to restart, I did. And, every time the PC would boot into Windows. It felt Sluggish, and the Task Bar wasn't working for a bit. None of the pinned apps were on it, nor did it respond to clicks, and it had the Loading Circle icon on it when hovering the cursor on it Then when everything loaded. The PC Proceeds to BSOD after 10 seconds, with this Error: "System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled" I'm currently in Safe Mode, and the PC isn't BSODing. My Event Viewer, is also riddled with Errors. And i have no idea what they mean nor how to fix them. mmc_DqwgwBuWWn.mp4
  6. For anyone who has a similar question/situation i had/was in, in the future n stuff. I ended up going with a Kingston Fury Renegade 3600Mhz 32GB kit. Loaded up the 2nd (3600Mhz) XMP Profile. And the PC has been stable for a month now. Jolly good. And the old Mismatched ram, is now retired.
  7. So, could i just go with a 3200Mhz kit. And if it doesnt work. Lower its speed till it does work? Blowing 90Euro for a chance to get Stability and Performance back is a price id pay. And when i do end up retiring this system. I dont wanna be tech support on why it Died and now needs a Cmos Clear or what not.
  8. Okay. What if i get the 3600Mhz kit. And it doesnt run at 3600. I could just lower the frequency right? And keep lowering it till it does work? Not like running it at 3600 could.. brick the entire system....right? If what i could use the 3600 kit for something else (eventually.) if it doesnt pan out in the 6600k System.
  9. Is it possible that the reason i am crashing at 2666 is because even that is too much for the CPU? Or is it more likely crashing due to mismatched sticks.
  10. Simply because 1. It costs too much to do a full platform switch. And also, i dont have anywhere to put my existing 6600k System. And i really dont wanna chuck it or sell it to some rando, this thing been with me most of my childhood yo. And yes it is bottlenecking it a fair bit depending on the game. But again, at the coin i spent on the GPU. I got way more performance by buying the 3060Ti than getting new CPU n what not. Went from a GTX960 2GB to the 3060Ti 8GB
  11. I have a MSI Z170A PC MATE Motherboard. Which "Supports DDR4 3600(OC)" Bios Ver:E7971IMS.AF0 Using a 6600K with a 4.5Ghz OC on all cores. And..also a 3060Ti.. (Im trying to make the 6600k last as long as i can) I'm looking to get a 3200Mhz or a 3600Mhz kit. Thing is. Neither of the kits im interested in list the Z170 in their QVL /Supported Platforms lists. But because how close the pricing is 3200 and 3600 is.. I kinda want the 3600Mhz one. Soo.. Will any of these work? Any harm in trying to run the 3600Kits at that speed on my system? And yes, i need 32Gigs. Kits: 3600Mhz: Kingston FURY Renegade 32GB 3600MHz CL16 (110Euro) VENGEANCE RGB RT 32GB 3600MHz C16 (110Euro) G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB 3600MHz C18 (110Euro) Kingston Fury Beast 32GB 3600MHz CL18 (100Euro) 3200Mhz: Kingston Fury Renegade 32GB 3200MHz CL16 (90Euro) VENGEANCE RGB RS 32GB 3200MHz C16 (90Euro) G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB 3200MHz C16 (105Euro) Kingston Fury Beast RGB 32GB 3200MHz CL16 (95Euro) Reason for Upgrade: My current RAM setup is unstable. I have a 3 way Mismatch, and when i run the sticks at CL16 2666Mhz the system seems fine for 99% of the time. But.. that 1% is not fun. Not fun at all. After the previous incident. I left the RAM at Default. Current Setup:
  12. So many options, no idea which ones to pick. I need someone to just pick 1 option out of each category. To help me make up my indecisive mind. And if the stuff i have listed is somehow bad, or is a waste of money, do tell. -------------------------------------------------------------- Currently using: "Aula Be Fire | SI-859" Keyboard "Aula Killing The Soul | SI-928" Mouse -------------------------------------------------------------- Keyboard wise, i have an eye on the: MSI Vigor GK30 (50-66 Euro) | Switch Type: "Plunger Switches" MSI Vigor GK50 Elite Box White (80 Euro) | Switch Type: "Kailh Box White Switch" (Mostly interested in this one) MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile (100 Euro) | Switch Type: "Kailh Low Profile Switches" Mouse wise, i have an eye on one of these: Logitech G502 Hero (55 Euro) | Sensor: HERO 16K (Heard the Right/Left clicks tend to misfire after a few months, could be a waste of money) Logitech G502 X (90 Euro) Sensor: HERO 25K (Heard this ver has newer switches for the Right/Left clicks, which solved the misfire issues) Logitech G903 Lightspeed (90 Euro) | Sensor: PMW3366 (IDK if the new HERO Sensor is in this ver of the G903, listing says its the PMW3366 version) | (Mostly interested in this one, even if its using an "old" sensor) Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed (70 Euro) | Sensor: Optical EVGA X17 (85 Euro) | Main Sensor: PIXART 3389 Optical Sensor Deskpad wise, im just completely confused here. The costs start at 20 Euro and go up to 70 Euro (For 600mm x 1200mm ones) And i have Zero idea why, they seem to be made the same. So, maybe someone here knows sumtin i dont. Use case: Id be using it as a Mouse Mat, it would have to be Washable as i tend to spill things a lot. And, maybe heat resistant if thats a thing, as i usually put hot cups n plates down onto my desk. These are the ones i have my eye on: Aukey KM-P4 XXXL (20 Euro) Krux Space Max (20 Euro) Corsair MM500 3XL (50 Euro) EKWB EK-Loot XL (53 Euro) MSI Agility GD80 (70 Euro)
