  1. What do you suggest I return? Do you think the motherboard is the root cause of the issues I'm experiencing? I use this PC daily for extended periods of time, so it's important to me to confirm that the motherboard is indeed the problem before sending it back for warranty repairs. In the event that I do need to return it, I plan to purchase a new motherboard first so it's very important to me to confirm that the motherboard is causing the issues before spending the money. I also never enabled XMP because everything but default 2133MHz was not booting even thought my RAM is rated for 3200 and that might also be issue with the motherboard, right?
  2. Hi everyone, I've been experiencing some issues with my ASRock Taichi x570 motherboard and suspect that it might be defective. Over time, some of the USB ports have stopped working, the audio port is no longer functioning, and the PC sometimes has trouble starting up after being shut down (it goes into a loop and fails to start until it eventually runs). Before sending the motherboard in for warranty repairs, I'd like to confirm that it is the source of the problems. While I've built several systems myself and have some experience with debugging and troubleshooting, I've never had issues with a motherboard before. If anyone has any tips or advice on how to diagnose and confirm issues with a motherboard, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
  3. Hi, This is my current part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/rvukasin/saved/#view=GZN4pg (3090 is on the way, still using 2080 Ti). As 2080 Ti can get hot in this case I was thinking of buying a new one. I need a good airflow case and I don't mind buying additional fans to increase performance. I am not interested in looks as it is under my desk anyway. I would also prefer to have more than 2 normal USB-a on the front panel. Any suggestions or pointers? I am looking for something future proof.
  4. I need to buy 2 laptops, 1 for myself and 1 for my GF. Please share your ideas Laptop 1 specs: · Modern design · Slim and light (portable) (maybe up to 1.7kg) · Touchscreen · Rose color is a big plus · 8-16GB RAM (preferably 8 with option to upgrade to 16) · Integrated GPU, prob intel i5 or Ryzen 5600 or similar · 512GB+ SSD (NVMe is plus ofc) · 14’’ screen, 1080p is fine · Budget (less than 1000$) Laptop 2 spec: · Slim and light (around 2kg, maybe bit more is ok) · High end CPU (like i9 12 gen or 5900 or 6900 ryzen) · 16-32GB RAM (16 is enough but should have upgrade option for 32) · 1TB nvme · 15-16’’ (14’’ might be fine as well) · OLED is a plus, touch as well (none are required) · 144p resolution · If possible Nvidia GPU (I am ML scientist so option of using GPU without need for internet is a plus) · I also need it for some casual gaming, it should be able to run something like Dota on medium settings with 30-60fps · Not really concerned on price (but something around 2000-2500$ is what I was aiming for)
  5. I dont live in a country where that would be convinient
  6. Saw that, I was thinking more about 1200-1300eur (1400-1500usd). I find this price reasonable for me as I get to add like double to get 3090 but I am not sure if thats fair price.
  7. Hi, I have Titan V GPU that is maybe 2.5 years old. It was not really used (only dota and some machine learning). I decided to sell it recently to get a new GPU but I am not sure how much should I ask for my Titan V. I dont feel like 'tricking' someone so I need realistic value
  8. Yeah and I have desktop GPU that I can remote to run some more complicated stuff as well but I am working more on research side and for example I worked on depth stereo matching algorithm and I implemented it in Python with CUDA (numba) and would hate if I had to remote or run some server command every time I want to ctrl+f5 to test how improved changes work on just one pair of images. It would slow down the process significantly. Here I could run and get results in less than 1sec without any wary about internet connection and stuff like that. Also, it's good for occasiona gaming
  9. @mt123, I don't really have budget (I am fine paying like 3000-4000$ for laptop as long as it suits my needs as I expect for it to be returning like 4-5x of that monthly). I don't need 4K so 1440p would be really nice. I saw that Razer has something like this: https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-15/RZ09-0409CE53-R3U1
  10. I am looking to buy laptop for work, but I am Machine learning/Computer vision engineer, so I need a good GPU inside as well. I don’t mind paying couple of thousands for laptop as long as it satisfy my work needs. Some basic specs I need: 15’’ touchscreen display Good GPU, prob 3070+, Quadro is fine as well as long as I get more GPU memory 16 or ideally 32 GB or RAM At least 1TB or SSD/Nvme space Higher end processor (8 cores/16 threads) I would be traveling with it a lot so lighter, more compact designs have advantage. Any suggestions?
  11. No, i'ts custom made PC (~8 years old). Motherboard is Gygabyte z87x-d3h.
  12. When I restart PC I can't get into BIOS. When I press "del" key it will not go to windows (it goes in BIOS but no signal on any monitor). I tried switching monitor to all video ports (both integrated and GPU) but nothing helped. I tested motherboard batery and it is on 3.2V so it's fine. After returning battery my PC didn't go to Windows as that forced it to enter BIOS but I still couldn't see anything on my screen. After doing "ESC" and than "ENTER" assuming that's the way to exit BIOS I got to Windows screen. I've read a lot of forums but I still can't seem to find a wa to get visual for my BIOS. Could it be that there is some issue with my motherboard?
  13. I am having trouble thinking of some practical usecases for front pannel USB type C. Anyone care to share some examples I would need that?
  14. Hi, I use my computer mostly for work whic usually requires big number of data processing (both on CPU and GPU). Because of that I was thinking about getting AMD Ryzen 9 3900x and I would like to get x570 motherboard because I epxect to put on good use NVMe drives that are getting out for PCIe 4.0. I don't plan to do overclocking of any component (memory, cpu, gpu..) and I would like to have some general features like 3.2 USB ports for back as well as frontpanel. I would also want at least 2 but preferably 3 NVMe slots. Thanks in advance for sugesstions :)
