  1. he has a external capture card he uses to capture wii u & 360 footage...otherwise thank you guys so far for your inputs!
  2. what do you plan on doing with this PC?
  3. he does video editing...as specifically he records game footage...at first i was worried about the game recording software making it harder on the PC but he DOES have one of those capture cards that he uses for game consoles...so i don't think i have to worry about that... otherwise he...does do pictures as well...specifically draws pictures and, mainly his own characters in art programs. as he's also in college to become a computer game designer as well...he's at his last year here as he wants to hit the ground running...
  4. https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=28458732 This is the PC i've currently picked out for a friend so far... His main goal for this pc is to run ARK: Survival Evolved shown here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/346110/ , however i am concerned as he does do editing in adobe premiere. so i've attempted to incorporate the intel processor suite but it led me to a rabbit hole where the CPU was expensive, the motherboards only supported DDR4 memory which both those motherboards and ram are still spendy at this time. He was ok spending this much on the PC....as i think his budget caps off at 700 US dollars ....he doesn't need a monitor and keyboard atm as we're just worrying about the tower.... but otherwise what do you guys think?
  5. i've gotten in house streaming to work in a university...assuming how i got it to work was to have both pcs connected wirelessly to the network...but even then it can be finicky as my pcs at most times doesn't recognize each other in the game streaming... so here's my question: at the very least what questions should i ask the tech support guys in the dorms on how could i get in house streaming to work on my 2 computers? what does it take? also to note that my college uses a enterprise password system, with possible data over 500mb/s...or somewhere around that ballpark
  6. that's what my roommate at my dorm said also about getting a water cooler...if anything again sorry if this is a water cooler question in a air cooler forum, but a *better* cooler that can fit here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147170 that might help with the heat issue
  7. hmm and what about non dj branded headphones? *the reason why i got a dj one because it was the best at the store at the time *
  8. what is your environment like? is your environment or place your putting your destop at any risk of overheating? because of the fact the temps of the cpu affect greatly depending on the environment your in or did it happen so randomly? how long have you had your pc? did the monitor have you ramp up graphical settings? *example going from 1080 to 1440 or 2-4 k?
  9. i have a stock air cooling system atm... with 4 fans and a stock cpu cooler
  10. is this possible? because i'm still very curious about how steam OS is coming (and my apologies in case i put this in the wrong topic again)
  11. but IF i do that COULD i screw anything up?...or does that depend?
  12. if anything leaving the closet open leaves some air space but hmm wonder if the college would notice a hole drilled somewhere <_<...if anything my friend has a water cooling setup and seems to be fine as long as his closet remains open and his stuff underclocked *he apparelly only plays minecraft and host a server...along with world of tanks* but at the same time i'd point the back where the heat is coming from to the other side so that the back is facing the door for more airflow however i can't get my cording to reach... as i've a bit of a getto setup: https://www.dropbox.com/s/37r05zhqtthpxbl/20140901_200454.jpg?dl=0 *and yes those 2 TVs (not monitors again was on a budget and got them for dirt cheap...and might have been inspired a bit by a youtuber with 3 32 inch tvs to get tvs instead of monitors) are set up for a duel monitor setup atm...the 3rd is my roommate's and has no relation but anyway the cord towards the samsung won't reach unless i put my destop right at the back of the closet next to it if anything with the case...is there possibly a way to reverse airflow so that air comes out from the front or is that not possible?
  13. in a nutshell the best way to keep your system cool in a dormroom closet *since it's the only way i could fit my destop* specs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147170 - rosewell line glow corsair 500 watt power supply radeon r9 270x GIGABYTE GA-G1.Sniper A88X FM2+ motherboard 8 gigs of ram amd anthlon x4 750k 3.4 quad core processor with STOCK cooler
