  1. Seconded. Also some useful programs here Apps | built by Bel ❤︎
  2. Aaron's Restaurant in Cloverdale family owned place that makes great pizza
  3. that really sucks to hear, additionally with how long it may take to get a replacement card good luck!
  4. I don't suppose you have another computer you can test the card in? (or if you have a friend who's willing to lend their computer to test it) I have the same GPU as you with an i7 6700k on the Z170 platform and haven't experienced anything like that. never hurts to do some cleaning like this, but idk if that'll help if OP's 1060 works fine in the same slot (presumably).
  5. back before we settled on a standardized naming convention for machines at work, I used to enjoy naming laptops after battleships from different fleets like Canada, US, UK, Australia, etc. lots to pick from as well
  6. Found a hard drive last year at work that's six months older than my younger brother
  7. A step closer to organic computing? Give it 20 years and we'll end up using computers like the Wraith do in SG:A
  8. Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section or not allowed in some fashion. Two weeks ago, there was a link to a competition to win a Jord watch on the WAN Show found here: After entering (and not winning) said competition, they did in fact send a $50 discount code which I will not be using Per the e-mail, Jord said it was fine if the code was shared with someone who will make use of it. So if anyone here was thinking of getting a Jord watch, here's a $50 off discount code: dead link removed
  9. no i didn't want to pay the amount they were asking for i'll just get a cheap extension cable and pair it with an adapter, that should do the trick
  10. Definitely. I posted last month and didn't receive a single reply despite the topic being viewed 67 times
  11. I've had experience dealing with Canwest Telephone based on Annacis Island and they know their stuff - perhaps they may provide you with direction as to what you can do with the system? I don't intend for this to be an advertisement for Canwest; this is meant only to help the original poster.
  12. That PSU is fully modular, so the original cables that came with it should look like this. You should check to see if you have any more. I'm guessing what you've attached in the photo is an extension of some sort, perhaps through your case?
  13. So they want $39.67 with $9.95 shipping plux tax for this cable. Anyone know where I can get this for cheaper? Surely this must exist elsewhere
  14. Hi all, just thought I'd post and see if anyone happens to know where I can get a 4-6ft mic/audio splitter cable (female 3.5mm -> 2x male 3.5mm). I've found tons these adapters that are extremely short (example), but I'm looking to replace the original cable that came with my ATH-ADG1X headset (exact example, image #4, center). I'm waiting for a reply from JAM Industries (service provider for Audio-Technica Canada) to see if they have any, but I just wondered if someone here knew where to get them. I realize I can buy an adapter and a simple extension cable, but if I could get the same two-in-one cable that I have already that would be ideal. Thanks,
  15. I live in Cloverdale. Any pick up discounts? ;D
  16. Nicely done. I did see a repeat of one thumbnail though
  17. I still have a SATA SSD, it's just a larger capacity and not my main boot drive (which is M.2 NVMe) With this current build I don't plan on having any mechanical drives, just larger SSDs for storage.
  18. Going strictly by the age of the 3570K that upgrade doesn't seem unreasonable. I went from my old 2500K to the 6700K so it's about the same jump forward IMO also NVMe is bliiiiiiiiiiiss
  19. I just installed the block and it seemed to be tight after that as it wouldn't wiggle anymore. Also I am typing from this machine and it's running beautifully thanks for the answers
  20. Has anyone else here had experience with this, and is this normal? I did some searching on Google and found years-old threads on other forums so I thought I'd check with the folks here Thanks (video may still be processing)
  21. well at least with access to Skype she can have video chats with family that's what I do with my grandmother & other relatives in England
  22. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would I have known there was a tiny ass piece of plastic covering that logo. I started picking at the edges for a moment and was still highly skeptical and then suddenly it started peeling and I was like whaaaaaaaat .___. Thanks guys!
