  1. It might be something to do with VC++, try reinstalling/installing the latest Visual C++ 2008/2010/2013 etc.
  2. Right now the Crusader mini-PU module is pretty laggy for everyone, but depending on how Star Citizen matures you should be able to run at very high settings at 1080p - maybe only high settings if you want a really stable 60fps, but 1440p @ high would also get pretty good FPS.
  3. If I was machining a keyboard enclosure I'd probably do it in layers - like the Ergodox acrylic case - with a base layer/spacer layer/plate layer. That'd probably be the simplest and most affordable way to do it, depending on the machine. You could also do it like a box in two pieces - a top/bottom piece and another piece that has space for the PCB inside it. You'd definitely need to desolder all the switches on the Blackwidow unless you reused its plate and cut it to fit your new case, but if you did desolder the switches and used a two piece case that would be a really cool worklog that I'd love to see.
  4. I have absolutely no idea how many charges you could get with the on board USB ports, but I found the efficiency of Apple chargers (~75%, picking a percentage somewhere between the iPhone and iPad chargers) and the typical efficiency of a UPS (~92%, as the UPS wouldn't be at full load and so wouldn't be at maximum efficiency). The total energy stored, in watt hours, of the UPS: 2 * 12 * 8.3 = 199.2 Wh. 199.2 * 75% * 92% = 137.448 Wh transferred to the iPhone. The iPhone 6S has a 6.9 Wh battery, so 137.448 / 6.9 = 19.92 charges. I seriously doubt you'd be able to pull that out of a UPS though, because they're designed to be under high load (50-100% of their rated capacity) for a short amount of time, and the extra bulk of the charging circuit etc. would probably not be worth it vs. a few battery banks and/or a solar charger.
  5. The Star Citizen 'hierarchy' of hangars (from lowest to highest - Self-Land, Aeroview, Revel & York and VFG Industrial) basically means that you have access to the highest tier of hangar that is in either your package or your ship - although the package will still say Aeroview, the VFG Industrial Hangar 'attached' to the Sabre is the hangar you'll have. You also get all the hangars below that - so with the VFG hangar you can switch between all four hangars in the 'My Hangar' section of your account.
  6. What about top IO? Having a couple of USB 3.0 ports on the top would be better than none, and it won't 'ruin' the front of the case.
  7. I think the extra length is definitely worth it - in the end not many people will notice too much, but the added hardware compatibility will be crazy. With ATX power supplies and multiple rads supported you've made a killer case.
  8. Awesome. What colours are most likely to be offered? Will mixing and matching (like having the side panels blue and the front red) be possible? Whichever way, I'm basically definitely going to get this case. This is a really well done case.
  9. That looks really good. When this launches, how long will I be able to order it for? Will it be a time window for orders or a limit to the number of orders?
  10. Mini DisplayPort is functionally the same as DisplayPort. It's like USB/MicroUSB/USB-B etc. - they're all the same pins in different connectors. You can just use a simple adapter to get it to full size.
  11. It's the iMac's internal hardware not having support for Windows. The iMac had to use a custom connector to use 5K. This monitor uses two DisplayPort cables to use 5K because (as Linus says) only using one limits you to 4K.
  12. Are there going to be watercooling grommets (or a place they can be put in) on the back? This is basically my dream case, and watercooling it would be great but I can't see the res without the grommets to mount it on the outside.
  13. I personally don't use any but this looks like a pretty good app - I'll have to check it out.
  14. Y'know, I had no idea why bear claws would make you hungry until I googled it, and now I'm really hungry. Thank you based Linus.
  15. So I can get a Mustang with the cross chassis upgrades... worth it? The WAN show is slowing my download
