  1. I noticed that every time I had lag, the hard drive usage would spike to 100%, which confirmed my suspicions on it being the problem. How to fix it, I don't know. I have removed it for now. It does have an old copy of windows, if that may be a problem, but I am for sure booting from my NVMe.
  2. For those of you who want to know, this is my hard drive. HDD: WD Blue 500gb 5400 RPM (WDC WD5000LPVX-22V0TT0)
  3. Ok, so the hard drive had windows on it, as did my NVMe. With a measly 8mb of cache, I was sure the hard drive was creating problems, did some task manager checks, removed it, and all my problems were solved. I plan on only using it for long term storage I only use occasionally. Thank you for taking the time to reply, as I know it's no easy feat.
  4. So I recently installed an extra hard drive in my laptop that was sitting around due to a lack in disc space. Almost ironically on par with that my laptop started to feel sluggish, everyday tasks I would normally do suddenly much slower, and unplayable games due to unknown reasons. I'm wondering if the hard drive is the culprit for all of this? If you want to see my specs, feel free. I've been into PC's for 3 years, but I'm no pro, and I STILL haven't been able to go all out on building a PC; if anyone could help, that would be awesome. I'm willing to do whatever I can and provide all diagnostics to anyone who thinks they can help.
  5. Hey person, I'm 13, and look at what I've got: (Just half cuz of the 20mb file limit)
