  1. Been happening for a while now. Whenever I press the power button the computer flicks on and off with only the PSU and CPU fans spinning for less than a second. This issue is not with the PSU, I have tried a new PSU on the system and I get the same issue. This issue is not with the CPU, I have tried two other CPUs and the issue still occurs. I have tried turning the system on with only the motherboard, cpu, ram and psu and I get the same issue. I have tried resetting the bios too by taking out the battery and also shorting the CMOS pins. Sometimes when I don't touch the computer for some time the computer will stay on for a few more seconds, but then turn off and revert to it turning on and off repeatedly within half a second. Also sometimes when I leave it flicking on and off it'll randomly start to boot and I'll hear the noisy disk drive power up but then it dies again and goes back to it turning on and off repeatedly. I have tried everything I can and I really don't know how I can fix this. Is there anything I could try to get this computer to boot up? It used to boot up fine and I did my work on it and have my siblings game on it. But one day this just happened and have not gotten it to boot up. Any suggestions and solutions is much appreciated Snapchat-461776042.mp4
  2. I just had problems with my pc not being able to display randomly. I reset the CMOS and gradually set everything to way it was before, saving it and tunring the pc off and on to see which setting is playing up. I got to 4G decoding, I turned it on, turned off the pc, booted it up, and no screen. I reset CMOS again and now wondering why 4g decoding doesn't work anymore. I have a RTX 3080 and i7-8700k and used 4g decoding all the time to enable re-size bar support. But now I can't use re-sizable bar for my RTX 3080
  3. Umm so I went to do the CMOS reset and the battery is behind the gpu, and guess what, I can't get the gpu out. The clip is not pushing down and my RTx 3080 is stuck there
  4. It's a Aorus Z390 Ultra with a 8700k. The motherboard is pretty new, got it in January to replace my Asus Z390m because the ram slots on it were blocking my RTx 3080 Suprim x. My boot drive is a crucial 480gb 2.5" SSD and wouldn't think it's damaged. It is getting late for me tonight so I will leave it fully off unplugged and I'll see if it works in the morning, if not, and probably won't work still, I'll do a CMOS reset
  5. Oh I might do that. Would there be anything else to try before doing that? Maybe leaving it fully off unplugged for a night?
  6. So I turned my pc on today and said it had a boot error. So I loaded optimized defaults, booted into windows and I restarted and went back I to Bios. I manually.configured my bios to the way it was before. I saved and shutdown my pc. And bamn, no signal. It is a i7-8700k RTX 3080 system and was running perfectly last night. I have tried both HDMI and display port and unplugged peripherals and powered off fully. I have turned on and off my monitor too. Can someone help solve this issue, I need this pc for school and I cannot access slot of school work, and also cannot play games mainly.
  7. oh it wines either way, it is actually worse when connected to the wall, the squeal like ramps up and down and is more loud. on the ups it is consitent but sometimes it is louder on one day and quieter on the other
  8. the UPS does whine and is very high pitched but i can't hear it from where it is, it is also connected to the wall. I am not entierly sure what u mean by 'on-line'
  9. thanks for the reply! the noise is always there. My parents have recently built a new building in my rural property with a new bedroom that i have shifted into. But the noise is always there even on idle, i find the noise from this 1000w corsair more annoying than my Fractal 860p. Something i have noticed is that when i plug my pc directly into the wall, games like GTA V stutterr alot, but when i plug it into my Backup UPS which is what i do, performance is perfect, i have ran multipul Userbenchmark tests and my cpu and gpu are performing above avergae
  10. hi, i have been pissed off about a power supply issue. I bought a RTX 3080 Suprim X and i used a 750w thermaltake powersupply initially and worked great but had ugly red cables and had noisy fan, but no coil whine. I bought a Fractal 860 PSU and that buzzed alot and actually made my RTX 3080 suprim x start to gte coil whine. I got an RMA and the new one had buzz too. So i ordered a Corsair HX1000 Platnium power supply and was imaging it would fix my problems, it did not. That buzzes too but more or a ripple sounding one and my RTX 3080 also buzzes still in game. the RTX 3080 only buzzes in game but all of my power supplies, the two fractal and the new corsair, buzz all the time but that one Gold 750w Thermaltake which had a loud fan but didn't buzz at all to my understanding. I really need help, ive been trying to fix it my self and have wasted alot of money and need urgent help thankyou in advance
  11. as mentioned in title, how long will 10gb last, will it at least last 3 years
  12. hey, just got my MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio the other day and i downloaded dragon center and i am unable to change the rgb on the gpu, on the dragon center app, i go to mystic light on it and it is all greyed out. help
  13. hello there, i have a problem with my build. With the Fractal Define R6, if you have a 140 series radiator, i have a 280mm from Thermaltake, your motherboard height is maxed out at 35mm. Meaning none of those fancy rgb ram like the Trident Z willl never fit unless i front mounted my Radiator but i like the look of it being top mounted and it is surposed to be far better than front mounting due to the posistion of the pipes or something. I was looking at Corsair Vengeance LPX, but wondering is there is any RGB ram if possible at this small size. If not what low profile ram looks the coolest without compromising performance. i would also 3000mhz to 3600mhz. This will be going into my current RTX 3080 and i7-8700k build, the ram i have is some Thermaltake ram without heatsink from centrecom. cheers!
  14. @Streetguruare the integrated graphics in the Ryzen 7 4800h good enough to play games on low-medium settings 1080p with roughly 70-90 fps?
  15. hello there, i am in search of a new laptop that is around $1500 AUD and has at least an i7-10750h and an GTX 1650-ti (1660-ti preferable) and needs to be appropriate for school. Apprpriate meaning the laptop not screaming GAMING! and also being silent when working and browsing the internet like using Microsoft Word and Google Chrome. I also would prefer backlit keys as i tend to work in the dark during study. This will be my only laptop for school and would also like to play a few games when at a mates house like COD: Modern Warfare, CSGO, Minecraft and perhaps Battlefield 1. I have a beast of a desktop already so this laptop won't be my main gaming rig, my desktop atm has an i7-8700k and a RTX 2060 Super which will be upgraded to a RTX 3080 (if it comes in stock) or the RTX 3070 (if not RTX 3080s come in stock soon). Only laptop that apeals to me is the Alpha S from Metabox, which right now still has Black Friday sales which with the configuration i currently like im saving $1000 AUD inc GST. But i would rather a brand that everyone knows like Asus, MSI, Dell and more. i would appreciate any laptop recconmendations. The specs for the Metabox Alpha S will be below: Intel Core i7-10750H 6-Core (12M Cache up to 5.00 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti 4GB GDDR6 VRAM 15.6" FHD 1920 x 1080 IPS-Grade Edge-to-Edge Matte 144Hz LED 16GB DDR4 2666MHZ (2 x 8GB) Kingston A2000 1TB PCIe NVME M.2 SSD Intel 9462 AC Dual Band WIFI & Bluetooth 5.1 (up to 433 Mbps) 2 Year Metabox Premium Care Return To Base Protection Total without savings: $2,497.00 AUD inc GST Total with savings: $1,447.00 AUD inc GST Shipping: $32 AUD
  16. @For Science! i was just about pull out my AIO pump after one more gaming session and the squeeky noise is gone! idk why but it is gone, it still makes a buzz at 100% but i put it down a bit so it is silent and temps are normal.
  17. i got the pc built at centrecom, ill ask them if they can help me out with the AIO pump
  18. when i do %100 it makes a very loud buzz and is very annoying and i can hear it through my headset
  19. ok so i unplugged my fans and recorded the sounds, their is a noisy gpu fan but i put some text to show u what sounds are the pump. it is the highest pitch noise, it isn't continuous as i said. also a pic of the other side of the pc. New video.mp4 New video.mp4
  20. ill go into bios and set the pump spead to a steady %60 and see if i can still hear it, ill also turn off fans and record again
  21. video-1601114545.mp4 the high pitch squeek u here is what i am having trouble with, i can here it when case is closed. don't mind that deep buzz u here, thats just the fan and i cannot hear those, just that high pitch, i am 99% sure its coming from the Pump
  22. thanks for the reply, it does not sound like that at all, sounds electronicy if that makes sense. sounds like the pump is pumping liquid or something. it sounds like a coil wine but it isnt continuous at all. just starts and stops for 1 second, then 10 seconds later is starts again and so on. also in this picture there isn-t a RTX 2070, it is a GTX 760, i sold my RTX 2070 to get RTX 3070.
