Scale is just linux underneath, it should support 5.25" DVD readers without issues.
TrueNAS Scale is just a linux distro meant for NAS usage, it still has all the support regular linux does.

Not sure if any nas structure supports rom drives as it primarily is for reading and writing information data, not displaying it. You'd have to dual boot it with another os which supports video/audio codecs.

The Evo 4 is easily powerful enough to run those headphones and has a decent DAC built in so buying any other equipment will probably have no noticeable difference in quality.

    headphones- 35Ohms 93dB at 1mw                  EVO4 - at 30Ohms produces 45mW
The slight ohm difference on specs is so small that the EVO4 will easily push these headphones into hearing damage loudness which means its powerful enough.

Anyone who suggests that the Evo isnt good enough are idiots.

awesome thanks I will pick one of these up, they are significantly cheaper than the external ones with the same feature set. Plus I will be able to watch dvds at my computer!

Hello Case: HP600G1 When I changed the standard power in the case, it was 320w The normal power from the device assembly is not working, but when I remove the graphics card, which is RX 570, the device works. I said that it might be a defect in the new power. I brought another one and the same problem. But if I brought the power from the original case 320, it turns on the case with the card and everything is like this. Where is the problem? Noting that in the past few days, the electricity was cut off severely and it burned 12 GB of RAM, so it could be the cause of the problem, for example, if it was locked in the board or anything?

There are plenty of external DVD drive/bruner out there.
Asus/ Hitachi-LG or brands like Verbatim Lite-on are all decent.
You might well splurge a little to get a Blu-ray burner which usually able to burn DVD and CD too (check specification)

And most of them have a emergency release "hole" which you can push using a paper clip to eject the disc without powering the drive on.

If he meant that LGM has agreed to pay it back internally but hasn't made the offer to Billet, then it doesn't make sense in using it to critique GN.
Shooting at GN with the "we already agreed" makes only sense in the context of that it is already resolved between LGM and Billet and thus GN is implying that GN is omitting that information on purpose. In the context it is written it doesn't make sense to interpret it any other way.

It's not a fragile ego, it's pride. It's earned pride.

What needs to happen is that the criticism should be taken for what it is, necessary and impersonal.

Ltt as a group should be humble about it.

I don't want excuses.  I want a "We fucked up.  We acknowledge we fucked up.  Here's how we will hopefully fuck up less."  That would be cool, and I think that's largely what LMG expects of the people they call out as well.

Many of the points made by GN are very valid I love LTT and there videos and I know the release a bunch of very good content, but there team is Huge now and given the concept of the lab I think its time they spend a little more time on accuracy, and making sure content is correct before posting, I just hope everyone can remain mature and take on bored the points of GN, and see it as GN trying to help LTT rather than just throwing shade and causing drama

For the large majority, GN is correct. The thing that sticks out to me has been the extremely large increase in * corrections. * this and * that. They need to let their foot off the gas a little. They're moving too fast and breaking things too quickly, catch my drift?

However, in my personal opinion, part of the video, in regard to sponsorship, seemed a bit more personally driven, rather than fact-based. But besides that, LTT needs to ensure accurate data. I will 100% back that.

Hopefully, Linus and LTT will take a moment to reflect before rushing to any statements or any off-handed remarks on the WAN show on Friday.

    Linus Media Group response:
    https://youtu.be/0cTpTMl8kFY

    From the video
«The Problem with Linus Tech Tips: Accuracy, Ethics, & Responsibility»

„This video is not monetized. This video covers our serious concerns regarding the data accuracy of Linus Media Group, including Linus Tech Tips, ShortCircuit, and TechQuickie, particularly as it relates to rushing content out the door to favor -- by staff's own admission -- quantity over quality. As the company continues to expand into its LTT Labs direction, the importance of accurate data increases; however, even as 'only' entertainment, there are still certain responsibilities to the consumer and the manufacturers to report fairly (and to have defined corrections processes in place). We tried to approach this as objectively as possible and hope that viewers are able to listen to the evidence we present, particularly as it relates to significant and frequent data errors that now present in nearly every technical review video.“

While GN has some good feedback, sometimes it feels like they are disingenuous and create a narrative that does not resonate with what I see from LMG.

Read:  I agree with most of the problems raised in the video, but not everything is 100% the way it is portrayed.

Furthermore, I have the impression that some points, such as statements that lead people to believe that Linus is railroading creators or that the Chief of Labs is utterly unfit for the job, are probably not accurate and not deserved.

To reiterate:  I am not discounting some other points that Steve has made.

Some other uninformed criticism is about alleged conflicts of interest when reviewing laptops while the company is an investor in Framework.

This insinuation is also not entirely accurate.

In trying to set the record straight, GN has fallen prey to inaccuracies in some of their claims. «The pot is calling the kettle black» situation.

I believe that the issues that GN raises are valid and should be taken on board to improve the quality and accuracy of the content.

There are some other allegations that, if true, are very concerning.

We need a frank official response from LMG. The next WAN show is going to be spicy.

I haven't own it but I have a friend who used to own 1440p monitor at 32 inch size, and I have a chance to use it fairly frequently when visiting his apartment for our late night gaming session.

It's terrible, I would take  4k at 32 inch even if it's 60hz. You can very clearly see pixel and the image looks notiecably less sharp. It's even worse when displaying content because most films are either 4k or 1080p. This mean in addition to having low PPI, it will have display even lower, none-native resolution and reduce the picture quality even more.

I wouldn't say it's unberable bad but certainly not great if you use it for both game and movies.

I agree about getting one two Terabyte instead of two one Terabyte drives. Also if you can swing a 6900xt in your budget that is a much better card if you don’t care about ray tracing. between a 3080 and 3090 in traditional rendering. But I would recommend the arctic freezer 34 esports duo or the noctua nhu 14 redux for a cpu cooler both come highly recommended from gamers nexus
