  1. Cheers buddy, I'll go with that one. Much appreciated!
  2. Not at all, I'm going to go for the new Coolermaster one as stated in the post, do you think it'll cool the i7 11700k?
  3. it’s not a type of sag that its too big, it literally can’t be screwed in because the cooler is that big thats why i need to switch cooler when i get my 4070.
  4. Stick with it as in stick with the coolermaster 612 right? not as in stick with the one i have now?
  5. So I’m upgrading alot of my PC over the next few months and am going to get both a 4070 and an i7 11700k upgrading from a 1650 Super and 10400f. (I got the 1650 Super 3 years ago and the 10400f last christmas along with the RAM and MOBO. getting the 4070 will mean I will definately have to change my CPU cooler because of its size, meaning I can’t screw the GPU in. My 1650 Super has been sagging for literally a year. I can’t risk that with a 4070. I can’t switch to a water cooler either due to motherboard heatsinks or parts of the case getting in the way, which means I am definately going to have to go with air. I looked at the Coolermaster MA612 as I saw photos of it with my actual motherboard and saw it not blocking the GPU or covering the 1st RAM slot at all. now my next question is, can this cooler cool an i7 11700k well? I’m going to be using my PC to Game as well as use the Adobe Creative Cloud. I’m also concious of the height as well, as my current cooler is 152mm tall and this next one is 158mm tall, i’m pretty sure it will be fine, and even still it has a removable plate, but just a lil anxious about it. Current Relevant Specs: i5 10400f GTX 1650 Super Gaming X ASROCK Z590M Pro4 MSI Core Frozr S
  6. So I'm buying an RTX 4070 next month and pairing it with an inboard upgrade to an i7 11700k and really want to play one game in particular (I will play AAA titles too, but I just like a bit of GTA) with high fps, GTA 5. Yes I know it's an old game but I really can't figure out what my frames would be in this game in particular due to bottleneck and no one runs these specs on YouTube. I will get a 1440p display later on, I'm not just going to run it at 1080p. I've seen videos with the i7 and the 3080 and I know the 3080 is neck and neck with the 4070 so would the bottleneck be the same with those two cards?
  7. I’ve looked into the i5 13600KF for £230 at my local second hand shop and a motherboard which supports 13th gen and DDR4 which would cost a total of around £350. Would this be alright for me for the time being do you think as I can barely afford the MOBO and CPU let alone DDR5. The motherboard isn’t overclockable either.
  8. Problem is, I don't own a 1440p monitor lmao. I currently own a 1080p 240hz monitor and would much prefer lower quality and more fps in games.
  9. I have been posting on here quite frequently as I've been looking into my upgrade options. So I am planning to upgrade my 1650 super to an RTX 4070 and my i5 10400f to a used i7 11700k (this would be used and cost £170). I'm wanting to play in 1080p max settings with the occasional 4k TV experience perhaps. The only issue I have would be the bottleneck, as there is literally NO ONE using this configuration on YouTube especially at 1080p for me to see how bad the bottleneck would be at 1080p, and I really can't justify spending £700 on a whole new MOBO, CPU and RAM. So my question is, How bad would the bottleneck be for this config and does anyone have any benchmark videos they can share themselves? You see I'm very much price over performance personally. If not I guess I will have to save up for a whole new MOBO, RAM and CPU, but what would be my cheapest option for this with the 4070? I play a lot of older games as well you see and wanting to stretch as many frames as I can in them. (GTA 5, Minecraft etc.)
  10. I am saving up for the 4070 on a budget, hence why I am purchasing that in November. I was originally going to buy the 4060ti but for longevities sake I’m gonna stretch my budget and buy the 4070. Right now I run a 1650 Super in there which I’ve had since 2020, which of course I can’t play games at 1080p at a high refresh rate on good looking settings hence why i want the 4070. (I’m not JUST buying the 4070 for 1080p, I will eventually buy a 1440p montior to switch between the two and will sometimes play 4K games on my TV) If I need to just buy the 4070 and wait till the next month to pay for the PSU then I guess I’ll have to, but that would be annoying. If you can give me some cheap 600w PSU’s that you’d recommend then that’d be great.
  11. Hello, I've been doing a lot of research and in November I am planning on buying either a 4060ti for £380 Brand New or a 4070 for £450 on a reliable 2nd hand website in the UK. I will of course upgrade the PSU the month after but I want to know if this system will work on a 500w PSU ASROCK Z590M I5 10400F RTX 4070 2x 8GB Corsair Vengance 3600 RGB Samsung 860 Evo 500w 2x Random 1TB Hardrives I bought 5x DS Fans from Amazon MSI Core Frozr S EVGA 500w 80+ White PSU I will be playing at 1080p 240hz on a single monitor.
  12. It’s mainly the power consumption as I’m getting the card in the next couple months and then running it on a 500w psu for a month, then upgrading said psu and getting the new CPU, aswell as wanting access to DLSS, RTX, NVENC encoding etc.
  13. Currently running a 10400f with a 1650 Super
  14. Anyone good to explain this to me? The card would still work right? Fps hit shouldn’t be too bad either from the link?
  15. Cheers. So you wouldn't say there'd be any bad bottleneck pairing it with a 4060ti at 1080p?
  16. So in the UK on a well known 2nd hand website you can buy the i9 10850k for £170, the 10900k for £230 and the i9 11900k for £250. i7 wise you can get 10700k for £170 and the 11700k for £190. It seems obviously the 10850k is best for value, would you say it would be a good pairing with the 4060ti at 1080p for my circumstances? I’m trying to minimalise bottleneck ofc.
  17. I got the Z590 board last christmas with an i5 10400f along with the RAM etc. I only play 1080p at high refresh rates and not even any 2023 titles if im honest. I want the i9 or i7 for low bottleneck in the games I play and for productivity, editing etc lmao.
  18. I'm looking into buying a 4060ti (don't question me, for my circumstances it makes sense), and wanting to know if i should get the i7-11700k or i9-11900k for minimal bottleneck out of the two. Thank you!
  19. I could possibly, editing wise its generally nothing too intensive as its only for my college (UK college is 16-18) so it’s not like i’m doing really long hardcore 4k editing if that makes any sense. I’m considering an RX 7700XT instead of the 4060ti as I’ve had tons of people tell me to buy that instead, I’m just a bit cautious of the wattage and not sure wether it will run etc. I don’t know how well a 7700XT will handle 1080p either as there aren’t many benchmarks on YouTube to go off. Opinions?
  20. Yeah I can understand that, it honestly depends on how much i make until then. My aim is to have an i9 11900k by the end of my upgrade with the 4060ti or the 4070, (I know an i9 is overkill, I was looking at the i7 but the i9 is actually like £30 more expensive and better for my video editing etc.) I want to have 32gb of RAM too because of said video editing. A 4070 would prob suit the CPU I want but it all depends on how much I get paid though as I said, thanks for the advice though I really appreciate it.
  21. If I’m honest its mainly the power consumption as-well as the fact that the 7700XT costs about £50 more than the 4060ti, 8gb VRAM is fine for me as I really can’t see myself getting a 1440p monitor as 1080p looks completely fine to me, I’m going to be at a bottleneck as it is with my CPU and I don’t want to make that worse as well, and overall I’m so used to Nvidia at this point and just don’t really want to switch to team red at this point lmao
  22. This is the PSU, this is really dumb of me I know but this photo of it was taken in 2020, and i’ve had it for a few years even before then. Yes I know, i’m really dumb for that, hence why I want to upgrade the thing at Christmas cause it’s definately served me well. I’m hoping it can take one more performance hit before it can retire
  23. I’m wanting to save up and upgrade my 1650 super to a 4060ti in November since I recently got a job, to describe my circumstances I play on a 240hz 1080p monitor which is perfectly fine for me, although the 1650 super can’t play alot of games without stuttering due to the 4gb VRAM and I’ve done research and think the 4060ti would be perfect for me. I have a 500w PSU which I’d be running it on until Christmas where I’d buy a new 750-850 power supply so that I can upgrade the PC further in other areas. So basically my question is what the title says, would the 4060ti and i5 10400f run on a 500w PSU?
  24. its rocket league and hes not even using anti-aliasing
